[Objective and Abstract]
Through the experiment we are trying to learn the method of performing Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) staining, and also understand the anatomy of the rodent brain.
[Introduction]
I will describe about the experiment based on what we learned in the lecture.
1) Optical Illusion
Optical illusion is also referred to as visual illusion. It is a phenomenon when objects are perceived differently compared to actual reality. Generally when we view an object what we have observed starts from the retina and travels through the neuron circuits of neurons and eventually reach the prefrontal cortex. In this process it passes through the thalamus and visual cortex. However, there are situations where the information is sent back as the neurons reverse from their general pathway in the stage of secondary information processing that occurs in the visual cortex. Scientists think that due to such action the information that is sent to the prefrontal cortex is altered, and eventually causing optical illusion.
