The 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 was held from September 19 to October 4, 2014 in Incheon and delegations from all 45 member NOCs of the Olympic Council of Asia participated. Everyone involved in this mega sport event all played a significant role in keeping the Olympic spirit alive and enhancing the development of sport in Asia. People in Asia including Koreans had unforgettable memories and pleasure through the Asian games where a lot of great athletes performed their best skills with enthusiasm, passion and touching human stories.

The Incheon Asian Games are called “perfect games” that all 45 NOC countries participated for the first time. 14,500 participants from 45 countries competed and 9,700 media members registered for the 17th Asian Games, which is much more than expected. The number of participants increased while the number of sports decreased to 36, 6 less than the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
