세포호흡
사람의 몸을 구성하는 세포는 포도당과 같은 유기물을 산화, 분해 시켜 생활에 필요한 에너지를 얻는다.
세포 호흡은 주로 미토콘드리아에서 진행.
해당과정, TCA회로, 전자 전달계의 3단계로 진행.

전자 전달계
해당과정, TCA회로에서 생성된 전자는 미토콘드리아 내막에 있는 여러 전자 전달 효소에 차례로 전달되면서 일련의 산화-환원 반응을 진행시키며, 최종적으로 수소이온과 함께 O₂와 결합하여 H₂O가 된다.
