Due process is one of the most important principles of law. During last fifty years attention to the due process concept increased dramatically. Such a phenomenon can be explained by the rise of human rights movement and general democratization processes that take place in our society. General public views due process as an important guarantee of observance of human rights and other aspects of democratic societies. Due process and criminal justice are intrinsically connected. This paper is an attempt to explain how due process affects criminal justice.
