The aim of our project was to find what motivate McDonalds’ employees regarding their age, gender and position.
When we studied employee motivation according to the age, we pointed out a tendency. The older the employee is, the more motivated he is. Indeed it appears that employees under 35 lack intrinsic factors which are according to Theories of Organizational theories (Herzberg, Hackman and Oldham) key to motivation. Moreover all employees of different ages lack job security.
The study of motivation according to the gender showed us that the gender has no influence on motivation in McDonald restaurant. As a matter of fact, male and female evaluated the different factors the same way. In terms of lack of factors, we stated that both male and female were looking for more feedback and job security
