Before and during his time, there was a greatepression all over the world and after that, people tried to recover their economy




For example, he mimicked a cartoon ‘Popeye’ which was very famous cartoon in America at that time. Using famous cartoon, he tried to be familiar with public, and it pretty worked. People felt more comfortable when they appreciate art, and they thought that art is not just an expensive useless thing anymore.
With people’s thought, he started make his own brand, and he made ts like watches. As he made products, he said “An artist is someone who produces things that people don’t need to have but he thinks it would be a good idea to give them.” His thought made him who produced things that people need to have.

Andy Warhol was an artist who was in the period of recovery from Great Depress, mass productivity and commercialism were leading style in society. As a follower and a pioneer in his age, he reflected many features of the time. Now he is known not only as a paint artist, but a brand designer and
