The book Nation Building in South Korea explains how it happened and figures it out by using the idea of ‘Nation Building’ of America. Specifically, it observes on the relationship between South Korea and US.

South Korea has gone through the conspicuous periods of time among the North-Eastern Asia; despite the harsh periods of life in Japanese colony and Korean War over the Cold War era, it showed successful overcoming by becoming the developed democracy nation in Asia. The book Nation Building in South Korea explains how it happened and figures it out by using the idea of ‘Nation Building’ of America. Specifically, it observes on the relationship between South Korea and US. Considering this view point, I would like to have my doubts about South Korea’s response to US nation building policy with regard to two terms; passiveness and activeness.
According to the book, the ideal of ‘Nation Building’ which is a ubiquitous component of American foreign policy acts in South Korea like a motivation to intervene in the Korea issues during the Cold War
