초록

20세기 말 본격화된 지구화 시대를 겪으면서 ‘근대세계체제—지식(문화)구조’가 크게 변동하고 있다. 그와 연동해서 서구적 근대성은 근대화의 다원적인 노정 중의 하나로 이해되며 특정한 문명이 주도하는 ‘중심주의’는 더 이상 성립되지 않는다. 이것이 다원보편(복수근대)적 지구문화가 공-실현(co-realization)하는 다원일체多元一體의 지구보편성(global universality, 지구근대성)을 제안하는 이유이다. 본 연구는 동아시아(중국) 문맥에서 비서구의 서발턴(subaltern, 하위주체) 지식으로서의 ‘마르크스주의 중국화’ 담론에 착안해 근대적⋅식민적 세계체제와 그 지식구조(문화담론)에 저항하는 ‘아래로부터의 지식(문화)’을 모색하기 위해 기획되었다. 그 논지 전개는 엔리케 두셀(Enrique Dussel) 등 라틴아메리카 근대성/식민성 연구그룹의 탈식민 문화이론을 참조해 문화(지식)생산의 발화지점(언표위치)을 중국공산당의 창당 초기 장선푸(張申府, 1893~1986)의 마르크스주의 중국화, 곧 ‘변증종합문화관—삼류합일三流合一사상’의 생성지형으로 이동시켜 새로운 의미망의 서발턴 지식을 점검하고 트랜스모던 문화(지식)모델을 타진해보았다.
중국공산주의운동사에서 장선푸의 정치적⋅사상적 제반 행적들은 현 중국식 발전모델이 사회주의혁명의 유산인 ‘중국특색 사회주의’에 연원한다는 점에서 ‘근대 넘어’의 새로운 대안체제를 발신하는 현 중국발화(Sino-speak, 중국모델론)를 이해하는 유전지도이다. 특히 ‘삼류합일사상’은 지구문화의 경계를 횡단하는 혼종화, 탈식민화, 다원보편성(pluriversality, 복수근대성), 지구지역성(glocality), 지구보편성 등을 포괄하는 트랜스근대성(transmodernity)의 원형적 모티프를 이룬다. 장선푸는 트랜스 문맥의 ‘통通’을 매개로 동양(공자)⋅서양(러셀)⋅마르크스주의(레닌)의 3대 유형(三流)에 함유된 인류문화의 정수와 지혜를 종합하고 그 상승효과(synergy)를 발양시켜 제3문화(신종합철학)로서의 신문화, 신철학을 창조하고자 했다. 요컨대 동아시아 서발턴 지식으로서의 ‘변증종합문화관—삼류합일사상’은 서구식 단일보편적 근대세계체제를 넘어서 다원보편적 지구문화의 공-실현을 통해 새로운 세계체제(지구보편성⋅지구근대성)를 축성하는 트랜스모던 문화생태의 사유체계, 곧 통(초)변증법을 내장한 동아시아형 ‘트랜스모던 지식(문화)모델’이라고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

In the global era that started in full-scale during the late 20th century, the ‘modern world system—knowledge (culture) structure’ is changing considerably. In relation to this change, Western modernity is understood as one of plural journeys to modernization, and ‘centralism’ driven by a specific civilization is no longer valid. This is the reason for suggesting global universality based on the unity of pluralism, where pluriversality culture is co-realized. This study was planned out to seek ‘knowledge (culture) from below’ to resist the modern and colonial world systems and their knowledge structures (cultural discourse) based on the discourse of ‘Chinization of Marxism’ as non-Western subaltern knowledge in East Asian (Chinese) context. The point of argument is unfolded by referring to the postcolonial cultural theories of modernity/coloniality research groups in Latin America, such as Enrique Dussel, and moving the speaking point (illocution position) of cultural(knowledge) production to the topography of Chinization of Marxism by Zhang Shenfu(1893~1986) in the early stage of the Chinese Communist Party, in other words ‘dialectic general cultural view—three-in-one thought.’ This study inspects subaltern knowledge in the new semantic network and discusses a transmodern culture (knowledge) model.
In the history of the Chinese communist movement, political and ideological traces of Zhang Shenfu are the genetic maps for understanding present Sino-speak (Chinese model theory), which sends out a new alternative system ‘beyond modernity,’ because the Chinese development model originates from ‘socialism with Chinese characteristics’ or the heritage of the socialist revolution. Especially, ‘three-in-one thought’ achieves the archetypal motif of transmodernity embracing hybridization crossing the boundaries of global culture, decolonization, pluriversality, glocality, and global universality. Zhang Shenfu attempted to create a new culture and new philosophy as third culture (neo-synthetic philosophy) by combining the essence and wisdom of human culture included in the three styles, East (Confucius), West (Russel), and Marxism (Lenin), mediated by ‘trans’ in the trans-context and creating synergy. In short, ‘dialectic general cultural view—three-in-one thought’ as subaltern knowledge of East Asia can be seen as an East Asian ‘transmodern knowledge (culture) model’ that internalizes the reasoning system of transmodern cultural ecology or analectic methods to build a new world system (global universality, global modernity) through the public realization of pluriversal global culture, instead of a single universal modern world system of the Western world as subaltern knowledge of East Asia.
