스마트폰의 파티나 형성행동과 브랜드 애착에 대한 타인지향적 소비성향의 영향 (The Effects of Other-Oriented Consumption on Formation Behavior of Patina and Brand Attachment with Smartphone)

초록

디지털 제품은 아날로그 제품과는 달리 기술의 발전에 따라 빠르게 제품의 가치가 사라지기 때문에 감정적 유대 감을 형성하기 힘들다. 본 연구는 사용자와 제품의 빈번한 상호작용이 일어나는 스마트폰의 개인적.사회적 의미에 따른 감정적 애착에 대해 고찰하였다. 이에 소비자의 개인적 차원에서 스마트폰 사용의 흔적인 파티나와 사회적 차 원에서 타인지향적 소비가치를 함께 고려하고자 한다. 이를 위해 스마트폰의 파티나 형성행동을 물리적 차원과 디 지털 차원으로 구분하고, 타인지향적 소비성향이 스마트폰의 파티나 형성행동과 브랜드 애착에 영향을 미치는지 살 펴보고자 한다.
이론적 고찰 결과, 소비자들이 스마트폰을 사용하면서 남기는 물리적 파티나는 스마트폰 케이스를 장착하고 꾸미 는 것을 말하고, 디지털 파티나는 배경화면을 바꾸거나 어플리케이션을 다운받아 설치하는 것을 말한다. 타인지향적 소비성향은 사회정체성, 과시적 소비성향과 동조소비성향으로 도출하였다.
연구결과, 물리적 파티나 형성행동과 디지털 파티나 형성행동이 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인 하였다. 또한 타인지향적 소비성향으로 사회정체성, 과시적 소비성향과 동조소비성향은 물리적 파티나 형성행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 과시적 소비성향만이 디지털 파티나 형성행동에 유의한 영향을 미 치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 소비자와의 브랜드 애착 관계를 형성하고자 할 때, 과시적 성향의 소 비자에게는 사용자 경험을 극대화할 수 있는 물리적 파티나와 디지틸 파티나를 제공하는 서비스를 개발해야 함을 제안하고자 한다.

영어초록

Unlike analog products, digital products are difficult to form an emotional bond because the value of a product disappears quickly as technology advances. This study investigated the emotional attachment of the smartphone according to the personal and social meaning of frequent interaction of users and products. Therefore, we consider the patina which are the trace of smartphone use at the consumer’s personal dimension and other-oriented consumption value at the social dimension, To do this, we divide the patina of the smartphone into the physical dimension and the digital dimension and examine whether other-oriented consumption influence the formation behavior of patina and the brand attachment of the smartphone.
As a result of the theoretical review, the formation behavior of physical patina means to decorate and wear the smartphone case, and the formation behavior of digital patina means to change the wallpaper, download the application and install it. In the case of the other-oriented consumption, it was derived by the social identity, conspicuous consumption and the conformity consumption.
As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the formation behavior of physical patina and digital patina had a significant influence on the brand attachment. In addition, social identity, conspicuous consumption and conformity consumption have a significant influence on formation behavior of physical patina. However, only the conspicuous consumption has a significant effect on the formation behavior of digital patina. Based on the results of this study, we propose to develop a service that provides a physical and digital patina that can maximize the user experience while discovering consumers who have conspicuous tendencies when trying to form a brand attachment relationship with consumers.
