시각·지체장애학생의 교육 지원에 대한 개별화교육지원팀 구성원들의 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Members’ Perception of Individual Education Support Team on the Educational Supports for Visually Impaired Students with Physical Disabilities)

초록

본 연구는 시각·지체장애학생의 교육 지원 방안을 모색하기 위해 개별화교육지원팀 구성원을 대상으로 교육지원내용과 어려움 및 요구 사항들을 개별면담을 통해 알아봄으로써 시각·지체장애학생의 원활한 학교생활을 위한 교육 여건 조성 및 연구 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 시각·지체장애학생 2명을 담당하고 있는 특수교사 5명과 보조인력 2명을 대상으로 개별면담을 실시하였으며, 그 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개별화교육지원팀 구성원들은 주로 공통교육과정을 토대로 학생들의 수행 수준들을 고려하여 적용하였고 일부 기본교육과정의 내용을 수정하여 적용하였으며, 교육방법은 촉각매체, 청각매체를 활용한 전략을 교육과정의 내용에 맞게 적용하였다. 둘째, 개별화교육지원팀 구성원들이 겪는 어려움으로 시각장애와 신체이동제한으로 인해 학생들의 모방학습과 경험 부족으로 인한 학습부진 현상을 제시하였고, 체력적인 부담과 신체 상해의 어려움을 호소하였다. 셋째, 개별화교육지원팀 구성원들은 시각중복장애학생을 위한 별도 학급 설치 및 수준별 교과교육 방안을 제시하였고, 신변처리를 위한 공간 확보, 건강관리 지원에 대한 전문 인력 및 환경 조성이 필요하다고 하였다. 본 연구는 특수학교에 재학하는 시각·지체장애학생들을 효과적으로 교육 및 지원하는데 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

To find the educational supporting program for the visually impaired students with physical disabilities, this study was made in researching the educational supporting contents, difficulties and requirements of the school for the visually impaired students through interviewing with the members of individual education supporting team to support those students. This study aimed to provide the basic data in studying the visually impaired students with physical disabilities and mak up the educational situations for those students’ smooth school life. For this study, the individual interviews were made with five special teachers and two supporting members and the result of this study are as follows. First the members of individual education supporting team applied the curriculum on the basis of the common educational curriculum considering the students’ performance levels and partially the revised contents of the basic educational curriculum. As the teaching methods, the team applied the strategies of utilizing the media of the sense of touch and hearing sense suitably to the contents of the educational curriculum. Second, as the difficulties of the members of individual education supporting team, they suggested the poor learning performance due to the lack of the imitation learning and the experience caused by the visual impairment and the restriction of the body movement. Third, the members of individual education supporting team suggested setting up the separate class for the visual impaired students with multiple disabilities and the levelwise curriculum program and that the space for the disposal of the students’ personal needs, the professional personnel to support health management and the situational support were needed. This study will be meaningful in suggesting the basic data for effectively educating and supporting the visually impaired students with physical disabilities in the school for the students with disabilities.
