개인중심 개별화교육계획 실현을 위한 초등학교 개별화교육지원팀의 협력적 실행 (A Cooperative Action Research for the Person-centered Individualized Education Plan by a Individualized Education Support team at an Elementary School)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교라는 통합교육환경에서 협력적 실행연구를 통해 개인중심 개별화교육계획을 실행한 특수교사가 얻게 된 실천적 지식을 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 비구어 발달장애학생 2명과 각각의 개별화교육지원팀 구성원이 연구에 참여하였고, 연구 과정에서 수집된 협의회 전사 자료와 연구자 반성일지 등에 대해 귀납적 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 개인중심 개별화교육계획은 문서 중심, 개별화교육지원팀의 협력, 학생의 절차적・내용적 참여 순으로 실행되었다. 특수교사는 기관중심의 교육문화가 개인중심 개별화교육계획의실패 요인으로 작용한다는 점, 개별화교육지원팀 협의회에서 보편적 설계와 장애학생의 자기결정 기술 전략이 필요하다는 점, 개인중심 개별화교육계획의 운영을 위해 생태학적 접근에기초한 다양한 환경의 고려와 사회구조적인 개선 노력이 필요하다는 점 등을 실천적 지식으로 구성하였다. 이 연구는 개인중심접근의 개별화교육계획에 대한 구체적인 현장 사례를 제시하고, 이에 대한 실천적 문제를 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to examine the special education teacher’s practical knowledge to person-centered individualized education plan through cooperative action research methodology in the elementary school that practice inclusion education. The participants in this study were two students with non verbal developmental disabilities and members of each individualized education support team. Data were gathered through the transcriptions of person-centered individual education meeting or the researcher’s reflection journal. Then, the researcher performed an inductive analysis to interpret the results. As a result of the study, the person-centered individualized education plan was promoted in the order of document centered, individualized education support team cooperation, students' procedural participation, students' self-determined participation. Special education teachers organized three categories of practical knowledge: the fact that institution centered educational acts as a factor in the failure of person-centered individualized education plans, the fact that the person-centered individual education meeting requires universal design and self-determination for students, and the fact that person-centered individual education should be planned in consideration of various environment. This study is meaningful in that it presents specific field examples of individualized education plans with a person-centered approach and examines practical problems.
