초록

본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생들이 지각한 부부갈등 수준과 우울간의 관계에서 부모-자녀간 의사소통의 매개효과를 규명하려 하였다. 이 연구를 위한 대상은 울산광역시에 소재한 초등학교 6학년, 508명이다. 검사도구는 아동이 지각한 부부갈등, 부모-자녀간 의사소통, 우울 척도를 사용하였다. 연구결과 부-자녀 간 의사소통과 모-자녀 간 의사소통 모두 부부갈등과 우울을 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 부-자녀 간 의사소통이 우울에 미치는 경로는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않는 반면에 모-자녀 간 의사소통이 우울에 미치는 경로는 유의미한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이것은 부부갈등이 심한 가정에서 부모-자녀간 의사소통이 원활하면 자녀들의 우울이 감소된다는 것을 의미하는 결과로, 부모-자녀간 의사소통의 중요성을 보여주는 결과로 생각된다. 마지막으로 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 기술하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to research the relationship of parents' marital conflicts perceived by the 6th grade, parent-child communication and depression. The data in this study were collected from 508 6th grade elementary school students in Ulsan. The instruments used for this study were the Children's Perception of Interparental Conflict Scale(CPIC), Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory(PACI), Children's Depression Inventory(CDI). The results of this study were as follows. First, the relationship of parents' marital conflicts and parent-child communication was like this; The less the students are conscious of parent's marital conflicts, the more the students have open communication with their parents. And the higher being conscious parent's marital conflicts, the more the students have dysfunctional communication with their parents. Second, the relationship of parent-child communication and depression was like this; The open communication with their parents allaied students' anxiety and depression. Third, The relationship of parents' marital conflicts and depression was like this; The parents' marital conflicts gave occation to anxiety and depression directly and those with violence gave occation to the more depression. Finally, The mediation by parent-child communication to parents' marital conflicts and depression was like this; The parents' marital conflicts didn't have a direct effect on depression but those had an effect on depression mediated by father-child communication. As the mother-child communication, the parents' marital conflicts had an effect on mother-child communication and depression, also the mother-child communication had an effect on depression.
