친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of an Ecofriendly Theme Integration Program in Agricultural Education on Elementary School Students’ Environmental Attitudes)

초록

이 연구는 친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경 태도 형성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한 것으로 제주특별자치도 서귀포시 읍면지역에 소재하고 있는 S 초등학교 3-6학년 환경 동아리 학생 21명을 대상으로 하였다. 이를 위해 친환경 요소를 기반으로 관련 교과를 주제 중심으로 통합 및 재구성하여 초등학교 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 2020년 6월 23일부터 12월 18일까지 총 6개월에 걸쳐 실험집단 학생들에게 작물 재배 계획 세우기와 텃밭 조성하기를 시작으로 친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램을 적용하였다.
이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 실험집단의 환경 태도 검사 결과 유의 수준 5%에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 하위 영역별로는 생태관리 영역은 5%, 환경일반 영역에서는 5%, 환경오염 영역에서는 5%, 상호작용 영역에서는 5% 수준에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 따라서 친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경 태도에 긍정적인 효과가 있다고 볼 수 있다.
둘째, 학생들의 활동지, 재배관찰일지, 소감문과 행동 관찰 및 면담결과를 분석한 결과, 친환경 주제 통합 농업교육 프로그램을 통해 환경에 대한 태도가 긍정적으로 변화했음을 알 수 있었다.

영어초록

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of an ecofriendly theme intergration program in agricultural education on the formation of environmental attitudes of elementary school students. The subjects were 21 students from 3rd to 6th grade environmental club at S elementary school located in Seogwipo-city, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, as a result of testing the environmental attitudes in experimental group, there was a significant difference at the significant level of .05. In sub-categories, there was a significant difference at the significant level of .05 for ecological management area, .05 for general environmental area, .05 for environmental pollution area, and .05 for interaction area. Therefore, it was found that there was a positive impact of an ecofriendly theme intergration program in agricultural education on elementary school students’ environmental attitudes.
Second, as a result of analyzing students’ activity sheets, observation log, review, behavior observation, and interview results, it was found that the ecofriendly theme intergration program in agricultural education changed students’ attitudes toward environmental in a positive way.
Taken the above results together, it is judged that the ecofriendly theme intergration program in agricultural education has a positive impact on elementary school leaners’ attitudes toward environmental. To foster desirable environmental attitudes for the sustainable future society, a variety of researches are needed to developed ecofriendly theme intergration program in agricultural education.
