통일체적 세계관을 통한 소외된 여가의 극복 (The Unitary World View and Creative Leisure Time: Through Postmodern Culture Life)

초록

현대인의 삶에서 여가시간이 차지하는 비중이 급속히 늘어나고 있다. 따라서 ‘여가시간을 어떻게 보낼 것인가’ 하는 것이 인간 생활에 있어 중요한 화두가 되었다. 그러나 근대적 세계관의 영향으로 현대인은 여가에서 소외되어 있다. 현대 자본주의 사회의 여가는 사적인 활동, 개별적인 활동으로 한정되고 상업화되었으며 이런 여가 관계를 지배하는 사적 자아는 단지 참여자나 구경꾼으로서 공동체의 행위에 참여한다. 한국인에게는 급속한 산업화와 발전적 자본주의 단계의 영향으로 이 현상이 더 심화되고 있다. 현대인에게 여가시간을 창조적으로 사용할 수 있는 능력 계발이 지체된 이유는 근대적 세계관의 영향이라 할 수 있다. 근대적 세계관에서의 삶의 의미는 욕망충족의 대상물을 생산하고 소비하는 활동뿐이다. 따라서 이런 세계관에서는 인간적인 여가시간을 기대하기는 힘들다.
창조적인 여가시간 보내기를 위해서는 근대적 세계관의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 세계관이 요구된다. 필자는 통일체적 세계관에서 그 해답을 모색해보고자 한다. 통일체적 세계관에서 바라보는 인간의 모습은 영원한 시간과 맞닿아 있고 무한한 공간을 품고 있는 우주적인 존재이며, 이런 우주적인 존재로서의 자기를 자각할 수 있는 존재이다. 자각을 통해 우주적인 존재로서의 개인이 활동을 시작했을 때 그 활동을 ‘사랑’이라고 한다. 따라서 사랑으로 여가시간 보내기는 통일체적 인간관이 바탕이 되어야 한다.
현대사회에서 소외된 인간과 여가의 모습을 통하여 통일체적 세계관의 필요성에 대한 근거를 찾을 것이다. 통일체적 세계관을 바탕으로 탈현대적 여가시간의 의미에 대하여 논의하고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 현대 인간의 진정한 인간성 회복을 위한 삶의 모습에 대해 고찰해 보고 통일체적 세계관의 기반 위에서 인간적이고 창조적인 여가시간 보내기의 의미를 논의하고자 한다.

영어초록

This study is intended to analyze the meaning and contents on the creative use of leisure time through the unitary world view. Actually, the modern life is based on the modern view of hunam being. The modern civilization has pursued the satisfaction of human being's desire and tries to accomplished it. Nowadays the achievement of the modern civilization comes to the various social problems because of industralization. It brought about many problems of human life in different aspect of modern society as well as alienation of human's life and environmental problems.
Leisure time is rapidly increasing by the new technological innovation and high-tech industry. It is expanded the average human beings life scale. But by the development of society, modern people is alienated in his life as well as his labour with the product that he made. That is the same in the area of leisure, too. So, we should find to overcome the alienation of leisure time the everyday life.
One of the crucial cause of alienation is modern view of human being. Modern people‘s leisure life has got a lot of possibility to pursue pleasure which might be nothing but waste time and to make human's ego separated. These pattern of using leisure time is just banishing human's life time and making the destructive aspect of human and world life. Thus one can avoid the alienation of leisure in modern society, he shoud be free himself from the separated ego.
The unitary world view can provide a new perspective of leisure time. It is material that post-modern implications. First, it can be agreement with the new social structure of post-modern society. Second, it would have human being free from obsession of modern view of world. Third, it can contribute to the humanization of all aspect of life in the sense of post-modernism.
As mentioned above, unitary world view can have new vision for the creative use of leisure time. It could be analyzed in two ways. The method is to use leisure to reify the ability to love oneself. So we can specify by all aspect the ability of love as follows.
First we cans use leisure time to build the ability to love oneself. Second, using leisure time to make to love another. The third thing is to use leisure time to enjoy loving.
The creative use of leisure time has crucial implication to all mankind in this post-modern society. The contemporary people is undergoing on great of civilization from modern society to post-modern society. The current period would be requested new vision of life and civilization urgently. The area of leisure is now confronted with new perspective. The discussion on the creative leisure time in this study can contribute to crucial perception to give liberty and emancipation on humanity and great progress in new civilization.
