우울성향 청소년 자살생각 보호요인의 구조적 관계 분석 (Analysis of the Structural Relationship of Protection Factors for Suicidal Thought in Adolescents with Depressive Tendencies)

초록

본 연구는 우울성향 청소년들의 자살생각과 우울의 개연성 차원에서 자살생각 보호요인, 즉 사회적 지지와 양육태도 및 그들의 다양한 심리적 자원이 자살생각에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 파악하고, 이들 변인 간의 매개효과를 포함한 연구모형의 경로를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 조사대상은 부산 소재 중고등학교 남녀 우울성향 학생 215명이다. 본 연구의 연구모형인 우울성향 청소년들의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 부모의 양육태도와 사회적 지지, 그리고 매개변수인 심리적 자원의 인과적 경로를 검증한 결과, 제안된 연구모형의 적합도와 관련된 지수를 검토해 보면, 모든 적합도 지수의 값이 적정 범위 내에 포함되므로 이론적인 근거에 의한 가설적인 경로설정은 적합한 것으로 판명되었다. 이론모형경로를 전체적으로 살펴보면, 부모의 양육태도와 심리적 자원의 경로, 부모의 양육태도와 자살생각의 경로, 사회적 지지와 심리적 자원의 경로, 사회적 지지와 자살생각의 경로, 심리적 자원과 자살생각의 경로, 모두 유의미한 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 매개변수인 심리적 자원은 직접효과와 간접효과가 모두 존재하는 것으로 나타났는데, 직접효과, 간접효과 모두 부모의 양육태도가 자살생각에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 자살생각에 영향을 주는 총효과를 확인해 보면, 사회적 지지와 부모의 양육태도 순으로 자살생각에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 부모의 긍정적인 양육태도가 높을수록, 사회적 지지가 강할수록 자살생각은 완화되며, 심리적 자원을 매개로 하였을 때 자살생각은 더욱 완화되는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the protective factors of suicidal thought such as psychological resources, social support and parenting attitudes have an effect on suicidal thoughts within the probability levels of depression and suicidal thoughts in adolescents with depressive tendencies. Furthermore, the study aims to verify the trajectory of the research model, including the mediating effects between these variables. The participants were 215 male and female middle and high school students in Busan, South Korea with depressive tendencies. An investigation was conducted on the following : (1) the effects of parenting attitudes and social support on the suicidal thoughts of adolescents with depressive tendencies (i.e., the research model) and (2) the mediating effect of psychological resources in the causal pathway. Findings of the investigation showed that when examining the values related to the suitability of the proposed research models, all goodness-of-fit index values were within the appropriate ranges, and thus, hypothetical routing based on theoretical basis was appropriate. When looking at the theoretical path models as a whole, it was found that parenting attitudes and the path to psychological resources, parenting attitudes and the path to suicidal thoughts, social support and the path to psychological support, social support and the path to suicidal thoughts, and psychological resources and the path to suicidal thoughts all showed significant influence. In addition, psychological resources as a mediating variable were shown to have both direct and indirect effects, and for both effects, it was found that parenting attitudes had the biggest effect on the suicidal thoughts of students. When checking the total effects with an influence on suicidal thoughts, social support and parental attitude were both shown to have significant effects on students’ suicidal thoughts. This showed that when positive parenting attitudes are high and when social support is greater, suicidal thoughts become relieved, and in terms of psychological resource parameters, it was found that suicidal thoughts were alleviated more effectively.
