간호학생의 첫 임상실습에서 사회불안과 임상수행능력의 관계에 미치는 자기관리역량의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Self-Management Competency on the Relationship between Social Anxiety and Clinical Competency in the First Clinical Practice of Nursing Students)

초록

목적 연구는 간호학생의 첫 임상실습에서 사회불안과 임상수행능력의 관계에 미치는 자기관리역량의 매개효과를 알아보고자 시행되었다. 간호학생의 첫 임상실습 진입 전과 실습 중의 사회불안, 자기관리역량, 임상수행능력 등의 차이를 분석하고, 사회불안과임상수행능력의 관계에 미치는 자기관리역량의 매개효과를 분석한다.
방법 연구대상자는 충북의 일 대학교에서 첫 임상실습을 경험하는 간호학과 3학년 95명이었으며, 자료수집은 첫 임상실습 진입전과 실습 중의 시기로 2회에 걸쳐 사회불안, 자기관리역량, 임상수행능력 등을 측정하였다. 첫 임상실습 진입 전과 실습 중의 사회불안, 자기관리역량, 임상수행능력 등의 차이 분석은 paired t-test, 변수 간의 관련성은 Pearson 상관관계 분석, 매개 분석은 위계적 회귀분석과 SPSS macro process Model 4를 활용한 붓스트래핑으로 경로의 유의성을 분석하였다.
결과 간호학생의 첫 임상실습에서 진입 전과 실습 중의 사회불안, 자기관리역량, 임상수행능력의 차이분석 결과에서 사회불안과자기관리역량은 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 임상수행능력은 유의하게 향상되었다. 변수 간의 관련성 분석에서 사회불안과 자기관리역량은 부적 상관관계, 사회불안과 임상수행능력도 부적 상관관계를 보여주었으며, 자기관리역량과 임상수행능력은 정적 상관관계를 나타내었다. 간호학생의 첫 임상실습에서 진입 전과 실습 중의 사회불안과 임상수행능력의 관계에 미치는 자기관리역량의 매개효과는 완전매개효과로 분석되었다.
결론 자기관리역량은 간호학생의 대학생활과 임상실습에서 사회불안을 극복하고 임상수행능력이라는 목표를 달성하기 위해 필요한 역량으로 확인되었으며 앞으로 자기관리역량을 함양할 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요할 것이다.

영어초록

Objectives This study was conducted to investigate the mediating effect of self-management competency in the relationship between social anxiety and clinical competency in nursing students' first clinical practice. This study analyzed the differences in social anxiety, self-management competency and clinical competency before and during clinical practice in nursing students' first clinical practice and verified the mediating effect of self-management competency in the relationship between social anxiety and clinical competency.
Methods The subjects of the study were 95 third-year nursing students experiencing their first clinical practice at a university in Chungbuk. The research data measured social anxiety, self-management competency and clinical competency twice before and during the first clinical practice. The difference analysis before and during the first clinical practice was performed by paired t-test, the relationship between variables was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis, and the mediating analysis was analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis and the significance of the path was analyzed by boostwrapping using SPSS macro process Model 4.
Results In the first clinical practice of nursing students, there was no significant difference between social anxiety and self-management competency, but clinical competency was significantly improved in the measurement results before and during clinical practice. The relationship between variables showed a negative correlation between social anxiety and self-management competency, and a negative correlation between social anxiety and clinical competency but a positive correlation between self-management competency and clinical competency.
This study found full mediating effect of self-management competency on the relationship between social anxiety and clinical competency.
Conclusions The Self-management competency has been identified as a necessary competency to overcome social anxiety and achieve the goal of clinical competency in nursing students' university life and clinical practice, and it is necessary to develop a program to improve self-management competency in the future.
