4차 산업혁명과 대학 원격교육 현황 실증분석 (An Empirical Analysis of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Status of Online Classes in Universities)

초록

· 연구 주제: 4차 산업혁명과 Covid-19를 계기로 중요성이 커지고 있는 대학의 원격교육 현황자료를 분석함으로써 대학교육의 경쟁력 확보와 미래변화방향에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 했다.
· 연구 배경: 원격교육은 포스트 코로나 시대 교육의 뉴노멀로서 학생의 학습권을 보호하고, 대학의 경쟁력과 좋은 교육의 기준이 될 것이다.
· 선행연구와의 차이점: 대학알리미에서 제공한 데이터를 기반으로 전국 대학의 원격교육 현황을 실증분석 했다는데 그 차이가 있다.
· 연구방법: 2019년도 전국 대학을 대상으로 수집한 실증데이터인 ‘2020 대학원격교육 현황자료’를 활용하여 SPSS 통계분석을 실시하였다.
· 연구결과: 첫째, 서울시, 경기도 소재 대학의 순으로 원격교육을 많이 운영하고 있다. 둘째, 조사 대학 중 53.3%가 협약기관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 원격교육 수강생 수를 분석 한 결과 타교생, 일반인의 경우 국립대 수강생이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학문분야별 강좌수와 수강생 수 분석 결과 인문·사회계열이 가장 많은 것으로 나타나, 공학, 자연과학, 의학, 예·체능 등 분야에서 원격교육에 대한 관심과 개발이 필요할 것으로 보였다.
· 공헌점 및 기대효과: 2019년 현재 대학의 원격교육 현황 실증데이터를 분석하고, 이를 통해 향후 원격교육의 개선방안을 마련하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공했다는데 의의가 있다.

· Research topics: By analyzing the current status of online classes at universities, which has been expanding and becoming a trend in the wake of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Covid-19, it was intended to secure competitiveness of university education in the New Normal era and suggest implications for future change.
· Research background: Online classes will establish itself as a new normal for future education in the post-Covid-19 era, and online classes at universities will protect students' right to learn, become a standard for competitiveness and good education, and provide both crisis and opportunity for universities.
· Differences from prior research: The difference is that the current status of online classes at universities across the country was empirically analyzed based on the data provided by the University Education Alert.
· Research method: This study conducted an SPSS statistical analysis using the current status data of 2020 graduate education provided by the University Education Alert, and based on the time range of 2019. The spatial scope is aimed at universities across the country.
· Research results: First, as a result of the analysis by region where universities are located, universities in Seoul operate the most online classes, followed by many universities in Gyeonggi-do. Second, looking at the current status of online classes agreement institutions, 53.3% of the universities surveyed did not have an agreement institution. Third, as a result of analyzing the number of students enrolled in distance education, it was found that students registered in their own university had the largest number of students at private universities, and other students and the general public had the largest number of students at national universities. Fourth, the analysis of the number of courses and students by academic field showed that the humanities and social sciences were the largest, suggesting that interest and development in online classes in all other fields such as engineering, natural science, medicine, and arts and physical education were necessary.
· Contribution points and expected effects: This study is meaningful in that it examined the current status of online classes, agreement institutions, and students by university location and establishment classification, and provided basic data necessary to prepare measures to improve online classes in the future.
