초록

한국의 교과서 심의제도의 연원은 일제 강점기의 교과서 검정제도에서 비롯되었다. 이는 일본 제국주의가 조선의 민족교육을 금지시키기 위한 것이다. 해방 이후에 한국의 교과서 심의제도는 일제 강점기의 심의제도를 그대로 답습하였다. 정권은 이를 통하여 교육내용을 통제해 왔다.
한문교과는 제3차 교육과정기에 처음으로 독립 교과가 되었다. 한문 교과서의 기준은 이 시기에 형성되었다. 그런데 이 시기는 유신정권기로 정권의 영향을 가장 크게 받던 시절이다. 따라서 그러한 영향과 내용이 어떻게 되었는 지를 제3차, 제4차 교육과정기의 한문 교과서를 탐구할 필요가 있다. 이를 언어생활의 한자어와 성어를 통해서 살폈다. 제3차, 4차 교육과정기의 한문 교과서의 언어생활과 성어는 당시 정권을 직접적으로 홍보 또는 미화하는 내용을 싣지 않았다. 그러나 간접적으로 군사정권을 정당화하는 시사용어들이 다수 채택되어 쓰였음을 확인하였다. 단원명의 설정, 교과내용의 구성 등에서 군사정권의 정당성을 확보하려는 내용 등이 그것이다. 구체적인 내용으로는 애국과 애족 등과 같이 국가주의와 관련된 한자어휘, 구국간성, 국토수비 등과 같은 국방을 강조하는 한자어휘, 사회개혁, 정의사회구현 등이 있다. 이들 내용의 공통점은 당시 정권이 언론을 통해 한국사회에 주입시키고자 했던 메시지와 관련된 내용이라는 점이다.
언어생활의 한자어와 성어의 교육은 오늘날 한문교육의 기초 교육이다. 따라서 시대를 반영하는 내용을 교육 재료로 삼는 것은 필요하지만, 한문교육의 성격과 목표에 부합하는 내용으로 설정하는 것이 바람직할 것이다.

영어초록

The coursebook evaluation system of Korea was originated from the coursebook authorization system during Japanese colonial era. This was for Japanese colonialism to prohibit national education of Josun. After the emancipation of Korea, the evaluation system of Korea has imitated the authorization system during Japanese colonial era as it is. Through it, the government has controled the education contents. Chinese character coursebook became an independent subject in the third curriculum term. The standard of Chinese character coursebook was built in this period. However, this period was the time when there was a biggest influence from the regime.
Therefore, there needs to study Chinese character coursebooks in the 3rd and the 4th curriculums to find out how it had influenced on the contents. It was checked through the Chinese character vocabularies and idioms in affected by the evaluation system as other coursebooks in the 3rd and the 4th curriculum didn't contain the contents that publicize or glorify the then regime directly. However, it was confirmed that many of the current terms, which justify the junta, were chsen and used indirectly.
Those are just shown in the set-up of chapter titles, the composition of the coursebooks contents, and etc. For example, there are Chinese character vocabularies, which are related to the nationalism such as ‘愛國, 愛族(loving one's country and one's country and one's people)’, and etc, emphasized national defense such as '救國干城(bulwark who saves the country)', '國土守備(the defense of the country)' and etc, and were including words such as '社會改革(social reformation)', '正義社會具現(the realization of the just society)', and so on.
One thing in common is that they are concerned with the defense and promotion of the regime at that time, and involves the contents to conceal the value of the democracy and to indoctrinate the future generation with the justification of the regime.
Education of Chinese character vocabularies and idoms in language life is the basic education of Today's Chinese character education. Therefore, which it needs to use the contents which reflect the age as the educational materials, it should be set in the contents that meet the characteristic and purpose of Chinese character education.
