초록

IT 기술의 급속한 발달로 인한 사회적 변화의 가속화는 교육에서의 변화를 이전보다는 더욱 강력하게 요구하고 있다. 사물인터넷, 인공지능, 빅데이터를 활용하는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래는 교육 분야에서의 전반적인 변화를 가져오고 있으며, 현재 교육환경, 교육과정, 교육내용과 방법 등에 걸쳐 교육의 방향에 대한 다양한 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 반면 특수교육 분야에서는 4차 산업혁명과 절대 무관할 수가 없음에도 불구하고 변화하는 사회적, 교육적 패러다임에 견주어 다소 미흡하게 대처하고 있는 것이 현 실정이다. 특히 4차 산업혁명의 기술이 온전하게 활용될 수 있는 특수교육공학 분야에서조차도 구체적인 논의가 거의 없다. 따라서 이 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 따른 특수교육공학의 방향을 다루었다. 먼저 4차 산업혁명 시대를 개관해 보고, 이에 따른 교육 변화의 방향을 가늠해보고, 특수교육의 하위범주이며, 4차 산업혁명과 밀접한 관련이 있는 특수교육공학의 대응방안을 논의 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 그 동안 진행된 관련 연구들의 고찰을 통해 4차 산업혁명 시대에서의 교육철학 및 목표, 교육과정, 교육내용, 교육방법, 교육복지의 방향을 정리하며 교육방향의 틀을 제시하였다. 그리고 이러한 교육 변화 방향이라는 큰 틀에 맞추어 컴퓨터를 중심에 놓고 한국 특수교육공학의 흐름을 정리하고 비판적으로 검토하여 특수교육공학의 발전방향을 제시하였다. 이 과정에서 교육의 하위 영역이면서 특수교육공학의 상위 범주인 특수교육의 방향을 제시하지 못한 점은 한계임을 인정하며 향후 연구는 교육, 특수교육, 특수교육공학의 위계성과 연속성에 기초하여 체계적인 특수교육공학의 발전방안을 제시하였으면 한다. 이 연구는 이러한 일련의 연구에 대한 기초가 될 것으로 사료된다.

영어초록

The acceleration of social change is due to the rapid development of IT technology is requiring stronger changes in education than before. The arrival of the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which utilizes the Internet, artificial intelligence, and big data, has brought about an overall change in the field of education and various researches are being conducted on the direction of current educational environment, curriculum, teaching contents and methods of education. On the other hand, even though the field of special education cannot be irrelevant to the 4th Industrial Revolution, it is presently somewhat inadequate to cope with the changing social and educational paradigm. Particularly, even in the field of special education technology where the technology of the 4th industrial revolution can be fully utilized, there is little specific discussion. Therefore, this study deals with the direction of special education technology according to the era of the 4th industrial revolution. First, review the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the direction of educational change, the sub-category of special education, and the counter measures of special education which is closely related to the 4th Industrial Revolution. For this purpose, this study summarizes educational philosophy and goals, curriculum, educational contents, teaching methods and educational welfarein considering the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. In this paper, proposes the direction for the special education technology by critically reviewing the flow of special education in Korea. In this process, it is a limitation that can’t point out the direction of special education which is a subcategory of education but is a upper category of special education technology. It is recommended that the future study should focus on the systematic development of special education based on hierarchy and continuity of education, special education and special education technology. This study will be considered as a foundation of a series of studies.
