초록

경기도 연천에 위치한 전곡선사박물관은 세계 고고학의 흐름을 바꾼 전곡리 주먹도끼 발견을 기념하고 활용하기 위해 지난 2011년에 개관하였다. 한국을 대표하는 구석기(舊石器) 전문 박물관으로서 그 위상이 매우 높다. 전곡선사박물관의 전시품중 지난 1991년 유럽 알프스 산맥에서 발견된 ICEMAN이라고 불리우는 ‘미이라’ 복제품이 있다. 일명‘외찌(ICEMAN Ötzi)’라 불리우는 유물 복제품이다. 이것은 원래 알프스에서 발견되어 이탈리아 박물관에 미이라 형태로 전시되어 있지만 전곡선사박물관에서는 복제품으로 전시중이다.
본 논문은 기존 아날로그 방식의 유물전시의 제한점과 한계성을 지적하여 현재 실감콘텐츠라는 이름으로 박물관 전시에 부분적으로 적용중인 VR, AR을 뛰어넘은 XR콘텐츠 제안을 목적으로 하였다. 아울러 본론에서는 ‘외찌(ICEMAN Ötzi)’를 어떤 방법을 통해 XR콘텐츠로 제작할 수 있는지 과정을 서술한다. 본 논문에서 제시하고자 하는 XR콘텐츠의 핵심은‘ICEMAN 외찌’의 원형을 디지털 휴먼(Digital Human)으로 제작, 대화형 인공지능 시스템을 부여한후 이를 가상융합(XR: eXtended Reality) 형태의 체험관을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 기존 박물관에서 운용중인 인공지능 전시의 문제점을 지적하여, 기존 인공지능 기술에‘디지털 휴먼’을 더 극대화된 가상융합(XR) 콘텐츠 방안을 제시했다.
이를 위해 현재 경기도 전곡선사박물관 복제품 유물인‘외찌(ICEMAN Ötzi)’미이라를 대상으로 한 가상융합(XR: eXtended Reality) 콘텐츠의 가능성을 보여줘 향후 박물관 전시 환경을 디지털 체험의 극대화가 필요함을 제시하고 있다.

영어초록

This Project is an attempt to create a virtual fusion XR-Experience center in the Jeongok Prehistory Museum located in Gyeonggi-do for the 'ICEMAN Ötzi' of the 5,000-year-old Bronze Age Mi-Line as well as a relic displayed at the Jeongok Prehistory Museum in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do.
The reason why I tried this virtual fusion XR type project was to supplement the shortcomings of the Jeongok Prehistory Museum's relics, not the original, with virtual fusion contents. The relics are very different from the original place of discovery, and the original site is reproduced with virtual fusion content. These were two things. In the age of the 4th Industrial Revolution, latest artificial intelligence technologies have been introduced as use cases in the field of museum exhibition halls, but it is still not enough to mass-produce effective results by applying all of them.
The reality is that artificial intelligence AlphaGo beats people in Go, but Technology that can be applied in the sort of museum exhibitions is not advanced. For this reason, limited high-tech technologies such as VR and AR are being applied to the museum field insignificantly.
This paper is to present “Digital human artificial intelligence content” in the field of museums exhibition halls to which artificial intelligence technology is applied, which is still in its infancy. On the other hand, foreign museums are applying a much wider variety of artificial intelligence technologies than domestic ones. We look forward to the future use of artificial intelligence technology in the exhibition field of Korean museums. In conclusion, through digital human technology and artificial intelligence technology, the historic scene that happened to ‘ICEMAN Ötzi’ 5,000 years ago in a virtual space was reproduced as “Digital human type artificial intelligence content”.
This immersive content implementation Technology can be applied in a many of ways, not only for 'ICEMAN Ötzi', but also for other local relics and other museum materials.
If this project is to be built as a virtual fusion XR platform exhibition system in the future, it can be built in museums around the world in the future. This is expected to establish itself as a more active exhibition paradigm in the “Future Museum,” which is expected to change with virtual fusion technology in the future.
