어린이집의 합리문화가 보육교사의 영유아 권리존중보육에 미치는 영향: 성격특성과 회복탄력성의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The effect of the rational culture of daycare centers on childcare teachers’respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare: Focusing on the mediating effect of personality characteristics)

초록

본 연구는 어린이집의 합리문화, 보육교사의 영유아 권리존중보육, 성격특성, 회복탄력성의 경향 및 관계를 파악하여, 어린이집의 합리문화와 영유아 권리존중보육 간의 관계에서 성격특성과 회복탄력성 의 순차적 매개효과를 밝히는 데 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 청주, 세종, 대전지역의 어린이집 보육교사 284명을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 Pearson의 상관분석, 부트스트래 핑을 이용한 간접효과 유의성분석, 팬텀변인으로 중첩된 경로에 대한 매개변인 효과 검증을 하였다. 연 구결과, 첫째, 어린이집의 합리문화, 보육교사의 영유아 권리존중보육, 성격특성, 회복탄력성 간에는 유 의한 정적 상관이 있으며 성격특성 중 신경증만 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집의 합 리문화와 영유아 권리존중보육 간의 관계에서 성격특성 중 외향성의 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 어린 이집의 합리문화와 영유아 권리존중보육 간의 관계에서 회복탄력성의 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타 났다. 넷째, 어린이집의 합리문화와 영유아 권리존중보육의 간의 관계에서 성격특성(신경증 제외)과 회 복탄력성의 순차적 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 현장에서 보육교사들을 중 심으로 영유아 권리존중보육 실행 증진에 대한 실천의 중요성을 시사한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the trends and relationships among the rational culture of daycare centers, respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare, personality characteristics, and resilience. It also aimed to reveal the sequential mediating effects of personality characteristics and resilience in the relationship between the rational culture of daycare centers and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare. To this end, a self-report survey was conducted with 284 childcare teachers at daycare centers in Cheongju, Sejong, and Daejeon. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation analysis, indirect effect significance analysis through bootstrapping, and overlapping paths with phantom variables to verify the effects of mediating variables. The results of the study were as follows: First, there was a significant positive correlation among the rational culture of daycare centers, respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare, personality characteristics, and resilience of childcare teachers, with an exception of neurosis, which was not significant. Second, extroversion among personality characteristics had a mediating effect in the relationship between the rational culture of daycare centers and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare. Third, the mediating effect of resilience was significant in the relationship between the rational culture of daycare centers and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare. Fourth, the sequential mediating effect of personality characteristics(excluding neurosis) and resilience was significant in the relationship between the rational culture of daycare centers and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers in childcare. These results suggest the importance of implementing the practice of respecting young children’s rights in childcare in the future, with a focus on the role of childcare teachers.
