함께하는 놀이가 통합어린이집 장애유아의 사회적 상호작용과 비장애유아의 사회정서·능력 및 놀이성에 미치는 효과 (The Impact of Inclusive Play on Social Interaction of Disabled Children and the Social-Emotional Abilities and Playfulness of Non-Disabled Children in Integrated Childcare Centers)

초록

본 연구는 통합어린이집 장애유아와 비장애유아를 대상으로 함께하는 놀이를 제공하고, 이 중재가 장애유아의 사회적 상호작용과 비장애유아의 사회․정서능력 및 놀이성에 미치는 효과를 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자는 실험집단의 K도 통합어린이집 만4세 장애유아 3명과 비장애유아 12명, 통제집단의 S시 통합어린이집 만4세 비장애유아 12명이다. 서울특별시 교육청유아교육진흥원(2020)에서 발간한「모든 유아가 참여하는 통합학급 놀이」를 기반으로 10개의 함께하는 놀이와 지원 방안을 선정하고, 각 회기당 20-30분의 함께하는 놀이를 어린이집 일과 중에 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 각 장애유아의 사회적 상호작용은 중재 전, 중재 중, 중재 후 16회 관찰을 통해 변화 양상을 분석하였고, 사전-사후검사 통제집단 설계를 적용하여 비장애유아의 사회․정서능력과놀이성의 사전-사후검사 간 차에 대해 독립표본 t 검정을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 장애유아의 사회적 상호작용이 향상되었으며, 비장애유아의 사회․정서능력과 놀이성의 사전․사후 변화에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 함께하는 놀이가 통합어린이집 장애유아의 사회적 상호작용과 비장애유아의 사회․정서능력과 놀이성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 미친 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

This study provided inclusive play activities for both disabled and non-disabled children in integrated childcare centers, examining the effects of this intervention on the social interaction of disabled children and the social-emotional abilities and playfulness of non-disabled children. The study participants included three four-year-old disabled children and twelve four-year-old non-disabled children from an integrated childcare center in K Province as the experimental group, and twelve four-year-old non-disabled children from an integrated childcare center in S City as the control group. Based on the publication Inclusive Class Play for All Children by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Early Childhood Education Promotion Center (2020), ten inclusive classroom play activities were selected. Each session involved 20-30 minutes of play, conducted during the daily routine at the childcare centers. In this study, the social interactions of each disabled child were observed 16 times—before, during, and after the intervention—to analyze changes in interaction patterns. A pretest-posttest control group design was applied, and an independent samples t-test was conducted to examine the differences in the social-emotional abilities and playfulness of non-disabled children between the pretest and posttest. The study results showed an improvement in the social interactions of disabled children, along with a statistically significant difference in the pretest-posttest changes in the social-emotional abilities and playfulness of non-disabled children. This study confirmed that inclusive play activities for all children positively impact the social interaction of disabled children and enhance the social-emotional abilities and playfulness of non-disabled children in integrated childcare centers.
