유보통합 기관의 원장 자격연수에 대한 현직 유치원과 어린이집 원장의 요구 분석: 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 중심으로 (Analysis of the Demands of Incumbent Kindergarten and Childcare Center Directors for the Director Qualification Program of the Integration of Early Childhood Education and Care Institutions: Focusing )

초록

본 연구는 유보통합 기관 원장 자격연수의 방향성 탐색에 목적을 두고, 현직 유치원과 어린이집 원장의 현행 원장 자격연수에 대한 인식과 유보통합 기관의 원장 자격연수에 대한 요구를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 연구참여자인 현직 유치원 원장과 어린이집 원장 16명을 5개 집단으로 구성하여 포커스 그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 실시했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원장 자격연수 방향에 대해 원장의 전문성 강화, 유보통합의 목적 반영, 패러다임의 변화 반영을 요구했다. 둘째, 원장 자격 취득 방법에 대해 기관 유형과 대상, 경력을 고려한 연수 구성의 다양화, 학위 및 교직과정 마련 등을 요구했다. 셋째, 교육내용으로 원장의 역량과 전문성 강화, 직무 지원, 기관과 원장의 다양성 반영을 요구했고, 교육방법으로 참여형 교육, 시대 맞춤형 교육, 충분한 교육시간 제공, 선택적인 연수 참여, 전문 교육과정 제공을 요구했다. 넷째, 원장의 역량으로 소양과 철학, 리더십, 교육·보육의 전문성, 조직·운영관리, 관계와 소통의 역량을 강조했다. 본 연구는 유보통합 기관의 원장 자격연수의 기초연구로서 현직 원장의 원장 자격연수에 대한 요구 등 실제적인 의견을 수렴한 데 의의가 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the direction of the director qualification program for the integration of early childhood education and care institutions and to examine the perceptions of the current director qualification program of the incumbent directors of kindergarten and childcare center and the demands for the director qualification program of the integration of early childhood education and care institutions. To this end, 16 incumbent kindergarten directors and childcare center directors, who were participants in the study, were formed into five groups and conducted focus group interviews (FGI). The results of the study were as follows. First, regarding the direction of the director qualification program, they demanded to strengthen the director's professionalism, consider the purpose of the integration of early childhood education and care, and consider a paradigm shift. Second, regarding the method of acquisition of the qualification of the director, they demanded diversification of the composition of the director qualification program in consideration of the institution type, target and career, degree programs and teaching courses, and so on. Third, they demanded the strengthening of the competence and professionalism of directors, supporting the jobs, and considering the diversity of institutions and directors as educational content. As an educational method, they demanded participatory education, customized education, provision of sufficient educational time, optional participation in programs, and provision of specialized curriculum. Fourth, the director’s competencies emphasized competence of refinement and philosophy, leadership, professionalism in education and childcare, organizational and operational management, and relationships and communication. This study is a preliminary study on the director qualification program of the integration of early childhood education and care institutions, and it is meaningful to collect practical opinions such as the demand for the director qualification program of incumbent kindergarten and childcare center directors.
