가정어린이집 원장의 부모교육을 위한 전문적학습공동체 운영 과정과 부모교육 실행의 변화 (Implementation of a professional learning community on parent education for directors of home-based childcare centers and their changes in parent education)

초록

본 연구는 부모교육을 위한 가정어린이집 원장의 전문적학습공동체 운영 과정과 실행의 변화를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 가정어린이집 원장 10명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 전문적학습공동체를 운영하였으며, 연구자는 리더 역할을 수행하며 참여관찰과 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 부모교육을 위한 가정어린이집 원장의 전문적학습공동체 운영 과정은 구성원과의 유대감과 동질감을 경험하며 공동체에 적응한 적응기, 공동체에서의 학습 내용을 실제로 적용하고 공유하며 학습에 집중한 집중기, 학습한 내용들을 서로 연결하고 부모교육 프로그램을 개발하며 전문성을 발전해나간 발전기, 강의 시연 등으로 서로 도우며 4회기의 부모교육 프로그램을 직접 실행하게 된 결실기, 부모교육을 위해 함께 했던 시간을 돌아보며 학습을 이어가기로 협의하고 공동체 유지를 결정한 종결 및 유지기로 나타났다. 둘째, 전문적학습공동체를 통한 가정어린이집 원장의 부모교육 실행 변화는 성찰을 통한 부모교육에 대한 관점의 변화, 부모교육에 대한 자신감과 능력의 향상, 부모교육 실행 역량 강화로 나타났다. 이러한 결 과는 전문적학습공동체가 원장의 전문성과 실천 역량 강화에 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영어초록

This study aimed to analyze the operation process of a professional learning community focused on parent education for directors of home-based childcare centers and the changes in their implementation of parent education. A total of 10 directors of home-based childcare centers participated in the study. The researcher served as the group leader and collected data through participant observation and in-depth interviews. The findings are as follows. First, the operation process of the professional learning community for parent education was categorized into five phases: (1) the adaptation phase, where participants built bonds and developed a sense of belonging to the community; (2) the engagement phase, where they actively applied and shared learning experiences; (3) the development phase, during which they connected their learning and designed parent education programs, enhancing their professional growth; (4) the outcome phase, where participants collaboratively conducted a four-session parent education program, supporting one another through lecture rehearsals; and (5) the closure and maintenance phase, where members reflected on their shared experiences and agreed to continue their learning and sustain the community. Second, changes in the directors’ implementation of parent education through the professional learning community included: a shift in their perspectives on parent education through reflection, increased confidence and competence in providing parent education, and strengthened capacity for implementing parent education. These findings suggest that a professional learning community can be an effective approach to enhancing directors’professional expertise and practical competence.
