학사제도 유연화 적용 성과 및 개선방안 연구: 공학교육 집중학기제 사례를 중심으로 (A study on the results of the application of the academic system flexibility and the improvement plan: focusing on the case of the intensive semester system for engineering education)

초록

목적 학사제도 유연화 적용의 일환으로 2018년부터 실시하고 있는 졸업연구 집중학기제 운영의 효과성, 효율성, 그리고 만족도에 대한 교수자와 학습자의 사실적 인식 확인 및 제도 확대를 위한 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, H대학교의 졸업연구 집중학기제 운영현황 및 성과를 점검하고 둘째, 졸업연구 집중학기제에 대한 학습자와 교수자의 인식을 확인하여 개선방안을 찾는 것이다.
방법 연구방법은 문헌조사와 자문을 통해 운영현황을 파악하였고, 성과점검을 위해 공학계열 2018년~2023년 졸업작품 경진대회 참여자 266명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과인 응답자 108명에 대한 데이터를 SPSS 18.0을 활용한 기술통계와 졸업연구 집중학기제 시행 전공과 미시행 전공에 대한 차이 분석을 실시하였다. 개선방안을 도출을 위해 졸업생과 졸업예정자 8명 및 재직 교원 6명을 대상으로 FGI를 수행하였다.
결과 연구결과는 첫째, 2023학년도 현재, 전체 12개 전공 중 8개 전공에서 운영하고 있다. 졸업연구 집중학기제 시행 전공이 미시 행 전공보다 교과목 담당 교수가 제공하는 과제에 대한 지원 및 피드백 만족도와 집중학기제 선호도가 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 둘 째, 졸업연구의 지속성과 연속성을 제공할 수 있다는 계절학기 도입, 재료비 적기 지급, 산학연계 졸업연구 프로그램을 도입, 지도교 수 연속성 유지를 위한 제도 마련 등의 개선 방안이 도출되었다.
결론 결론적으로 졸업연구 집중학기제는 특화된 교육과정 모델로 정착되고 있음이 검증되었으며, 개선방안의 실제적 적용이 실행 된다면 실천공학 교육모델 질 제고를 위한 졸업연구 집중학기제가 효과적인 역할을 담당할 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

Objectives As part of the flexible application of the academic system, the purpose of this study is to confirm the factual perception of instructors and learners on the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of the operation of the graduation research intensive semester system, which has been in place since 2018, and to check the operation status and performance of the graduation research intensive semester system at H University, and secondly, to find ways to improve by checking learners and instructors' perceptions of the graduation research intensive semester system.
Methods As for the research method, the operation status was identified through literature research and advice, and technical statistics using SPSS 18.0 were used to analyze the differences between majors implemented and non-executed in the graduation research intensive semester system and 108 respondents who surveyed 266 engineering participants from 2018 to 2023 to check their performance. FGI was conducted on 8 graduates, prospective graduates, and 6 incumbent teachers to derive improvement measures.
Results The research results are first, as of 2023, 8 out of 12 majors are operating. It was analyzed that majors implementing the graduation research intensive semester system had higher satisfaction with support and feedback for tasks provided by professors in charge of subjects and preference for the intensive semester system than those that did not. Second, improvement measures such as introducing a seasonal semester that can provide continuity and continuity of graduation research, timely payment of materials, introducing an industry-academic graduation research program, and preparing a system to maintain continuity of supervisors were derived.
Conclusions In conclusion, it has been verified that the graduation research intensive semester system is established as a specialized curriculum model, and if the improvement plan is implemented in practice, the graduation research intensive semester system can play an effective role in improving the quality of practical engineering education models.
