진로진학상담교사의 직무수행수준과 진로교육으로 인한 변화 사이의 관계: 관리자 및 동료교사들의 관점을 중심으로 (The relationship between job performance level of career guidance teachers and changes with career education: Focused on the perspective of school administrators and peers)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 관리자 및 동료교사의 관점에서 바라본 진로진학상담교사의 직무수행수준에 대해서 분석하고 직무수행수준과 진로교육으로 인한 변화 사이의 관계를 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 경기도 전체를 대표할 만한 중고등학교 100개교를 선정하여 관리자 71명, 동료교사 261명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 결과를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로진학상담교사의 직무수행수준에 대한 관리자 및 동료교사의 평균은 3.94점으로 비교적 높은 편이었다. 또한, 진로진학상담교사는 교육과정이나 수업과 관련된 직무는 다른 직무에 비해 잘 수행하고 있지만 학생 대상의 맞춤형 진로지도나 다른 교육주체들과 소통하고 협력하는 직무들에 대해서는 상대적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 둘째, 진로교육으로 인한 변화에 대한 관리자 및 동료교사의 인식 평균은 3.85점으로 비교적 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 진로진학상담교사의 직무수행수준과 진로교육으로 인한 변화정도 사이에는 높은 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고, 진로진학상담교사의 직무 중에서 진로교육의 변화를 잘 설명해 주는 직무는 ‘교내외 진로탐색 활동 기획 및 운영’, ‘교원 대상 진로교육 역량강화 연수 총괄’, ‘진로 및 학습 계획서 작성 지원’, ‘진로교육 관련 교육기부 등 지역 및 기관 네트워크 관리’순으로 나타났다. 이는 진로진학상담교사가 다른 교육주체들과 소통하고 협력하는 직무에 좀 더 힘써주기를 바라는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 진로진학상담교사 당사자의 관점이 아닌 가까이에서 지켜보고 있는 관리자와 동료교사의 관점에서 진로진학상담교사의 직무수행수준을 분석하고 진로교육의 변화를 해석하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of job performance of career guidance teachers from the perspective of school administrators and peers and to explore the relationship between job performance level and changes with career education. We selected 100 middle and high schools representing Gyeonggi province, surveyed 71 school administrators and 261 peers, and analyzed its results. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the evaluation average school administrators and peers made on the job performance level of career guidance teachers was marked 3.94, which is relatively high. And it is found that career guidance teachers are relatively good at performing the jobs related to curriculums or teaching, still they have difficulty in communicating and cooperating with other education bodies and in fulfilling student-customized guidance counseling(career coaching). Second, the evaluation average school administrators and peers made on the changes with career education was marked 3.85, which is relatively high. Third, there is a high positive relationship between the job performance level of career guidance teachers and the degree of change with career education. And it is discovered that among career guidance teacher's jobs, the jobs that clearly reveals the changes with career education are ‘design and implementation of career search activity inside and outside school’, ‘general management of the training for teachers to enhance career education competence’, ‘support for writing career and learning plan’, and ‘regional and institutional network management for career education-related education donation’. This proves that it is quite necessary for career guidance teachers to make more efforts to focus on the jobs of communicating and cooperating with other education bodies. The result of this study is significant in that the job performance level of career guidance teachers was analyzed and the change with career education was interpreted from the perspective of school administrators and peers who keep a close watch on them, not from the perspective of themselves, career guidance teachers.
