상담자의 법정진술 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구: 심리적 소진을 중심으로 (Phenomenological Study on Counselors' Experience of Courtroom Testimony: Focusing on the Process of Psychological Burnout)

목적 본 연구는 법정에서 진술하게 되는 상담자들이 경험하는 심리적 소진 과정에 대한 현상학적 경험을 밝히고자, 이들의 경험을있는 그대로 기술하고 그들이 경험의 의미를 해석한 연구이다.
방법 법정진술 경험이 있는 8명의 상담자들과 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 이로부터 얻은 질적자료를 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구 방법을통해 참여자들의 경험을 추출하고 순환적 분석과정을 거쳐 의미단위, 하위범주, 상위범주를 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 얻어진 연구현상에 대해 기술하였다.
결과 본 연구의 결과, 법정진술을 경험한 상담자들의 체험적 의미는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 상담자는 법정증언를 위한 준비에내적인 부담감과 갈등을 경험하며 내담자에 대한 혼란스러운 마음을 경험. 둘째, 법정 진술에 참여한 상담자들은 낯설고 위압적인법률 세계에 대한 상당한 스트레스와 부담감, 그리고 진술에 따른 위험부담을 홀로 감당. 셋째, 이러한 과정을 통해 상당한 부정적감정과 생각에 매몰되며 상담자로서의 한계를 경험함과 동시에 개인적 애씀과 주변의 지지자원을 통해 이를 극복하려는 노력으로총 75개의 의미단위, 25개의 하위범주와 9개의 상위범주, 3개의 주제가 도출되었다.
결론 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 상담자의 법정진술 경험을 심리적 소진을 중심으로 상담적 함의와 더불어 논의하였다.

영어초록

Objectives This study aims to elucidate the phenomenological experience of psychological burnout among coun selors who testify in court. It describes their experiences as they are and interprets the meanings they attribute to these experiences.
Methods In-depth interviews were conducted with eight counselors who had experience testifying in court. The qualitative data obtained from these interviews were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research method to extract the participants' experiences. Through a cyclical analytical process, meaning units, subcategories, and higher-order categories were derived. Based on this, the research phenomenon was described.
Results As a result of this study, the experiential meaning of counselors who have testified in court was identified as follows. First, counselors experienced internal burdens and conflicts in preparation for court testimony, along with feelings of confusion regarding their clients. Second, counselors who participated in court testimony endured significant stress and pressure due to the unfamiliar and intimidating legal environment, as well as the risks asso ciated with their testimony, often facing these challenges alone. Third, throughout this process, they became im mersed in considerable negative emotions and thoughts, experiencing the limitations of their role as counselors.
At the same time, they made efforts to overcome these challenges through personal resilience and support from their surroundings. From this analysis, a total of 75 meaning units, 25 subcategories, 9 higher-order categories, and 3 main themes were derived.
Conclusions Based on these results, the study discusses the implications for counseling, focusing on psycho logical burnout related to the counselors' court testimony experiences.
