아버지의 놀이성이 유아의 자아탄력성에 미치는 영향: 아버지의 놀이참여시간의 조절효과 (The Effects of Fathers’ Playfulness on Children’s Ego-Resilience: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Fathers’ Play Participation Time)

초록

목적 본 연구에서는 아버지의 놀이성이 유아의 자아탄력성에 미치는 영향을 살피고, 아버지의 놀이참여시간의 조절효과를 분석하였다.
방법 이를 위해 경기도 소재의 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 230명과 그들의 아버지 230명을 대상으로 유아의 자아탄력성과 아버지의 놀이성관련 변인을 측정하기 위한 검사를 실시하였다. 유아의 자아탄력성, 아버지의 놀이성, 아버지의 놀이참여시간은 아버지의 자기보고식으로 진행되었으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 활용하여 Pearson 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다.
결과 첫째, 아버지의 놀이성은 유아의 자아탄력성, 아버지의 놀이참여시간과 정적상관을 보였다. 둘째, 아버지의 유머감각은 유아의 주도성, 유아의 자기통제 그리고 유아의 문제행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 아버지의 재미탐닉은 유아의 애착, 유아의주도성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 놀이참여시간은 아버지의 익살스러움과 유아의 주도성 간 관계, 아버지의유머감각과 유아의 주도성 간 관계 그리고 아버지의 재미탐닉과 유아의 주도성 간 관계를 조절하였으며, 아버지의 익살스러움과 유아의 문제행동 간 관계도 조절하는 것으로 나타났다.
결론 아버지와 유아가 주로 놀이를 통해 상호작용한다는 점을 고려하여 아버지의 놀이적 성격에 중점을 두었으며, 아버지의 놀이성이 유아의 자아탄력성을 증진시키는 직접적인 요인임을 밝혔다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.

영어초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of fathers’ playfulness on children’s ego-resilience, as well as whether fathers’ play participation time moderated that relationship. According to research questions, (1) How is the relationship among fathers’ playfulness, children's ego-resilience and fathers’ play participation time. (2) Does the fathers’ playfulness affect their children’s ego-resilience. (3) Does the fathers’ play participation time moderate the relationship between fathers’ playfulness and their children’s ego-resilience.
Methods The participations were 230 fathers of 3, 4 and 5-year-old. Fathers were asked to fill in the questionnaire on Fathers’ playfulness, Fathers’ play participation time and Children’s ego-resilience. The statistical methods adopted for the data analysis were correlation and hierarchical regression analysis, using SPSS 22.0.
Results First, fathers’ sense of humor had a significant effect on children’s initiative, self-control and concerned behavior. and fathers’ enjoy silliness had a significant effect on children’s attachment and initiative. Second, fathers’ play participation time moderated the relationship between their fun-loving-children’s initiative, their sense of humor-children’s initiative and their enjoy silliness-children’s initiative. Fathers’ play participation time also moderated the relationship between their fun-loving-children’s concerned behavior.
Conclusions This study focused on the fathers’ playful character, considering that father and their children interact mainly through play. and It is meaningful that the fathers’ playfulness is a direct factor in enhancing the children's ego-resilience. Play participation time, accompanied by the father's positive play personality traits, affects the children’s ego-resilience, and emphasize that the fathers’ helps the children overcome healthily external factors that can be encountered as they grow up.
