저소득층 노인의 우울증 해소를 위한 원예치료프로그램의 효과 (Effects of Horticultural Therapy Program on Solving Depression for The Elderly of Low Income Class)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 저소득층 노인의 우울증 및 스트레스 해소를 위한 원예치료프로그램 효과를 검증하고, 아울러 경제적 상실감을 겪는 우울증 노인들이 원예치료에 만족하는가를 검증하는데 있다. 원예치료프로그램의 실험기간은 2015년 10월 5일부터 2016년 2월 15일까지 주 1회씩 20회기에 걸쳐 실시하였으며, 연구대상으로는 JN도 M시에 위치한 종합사회복지관의 노인교실에서 교육 중인 노인들 중 우울증을 겪고 있는 실험대상 8명을 선정하였다. 수집된 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) v.15.0 통계패키지프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 원예활동을 통한 원예치료프로그램이 다음과 같이 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 다양한 원예치료프로그램이 저소득층 노인의 우울증과 스트레스 해소에 긍정적 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 원예치료가 경제적 상실감을 겪는 저소득층 노인의 우울증 치료에 만족감을 주었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로 원예치료가 저소득층 노인의 우울증 해소 및 스트레스 해소에서 충분히 활용될 수 있을 것으로 전망된다. 그리고 향후 다양한 원예치료프로그램의 개발과 더불어 단기성 프로그램으로 그치지 말고 장기적 효과를 나타낼 수 있는 지속적인 접근이 필요하다고 사료된다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of horticultural therapy program for solution of depression and stress for the elderly of low income class, and to investigate satisfaction sense as given on solution of depression for the elderly of low income class with depression by economic difficulties through the horticultural therapy activities. The experimental period of horticultural therapy programs were conducted 20 sessions one time per week from 5 October in 2015 to 15 February in 2016, and The object of this study were selected 8 the elderly of low income class with depression studying in the class for the aged of General social-Welfare center which is located in M city of JN province. A statistical processing of the collected data were analyzed using by SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) v.15.0. The results of this research gained through the horticultural therapy activities were confirmed that The horticultural therapy program was the positive effect on the elderly of low income class with depression, and The results of this study from the survey were as follows: First, it was confirmed that the horticultural therapy programs with diversity were the positive effect on solution of depression and stress of the elderly of low income class with depression. Second, it was confirmed that it was given satisfaction sense on solution of depression for the elderly of low income class with depression by economic difficulties through the horticultural therapy activities. Therefore hence, it was prospected that the horticultural therapy program was sufficiently utilized as the therapy activity on solution of depression and stress for the elderly of low income class with depression by economic difficulties. Moreover, it should be developed more diverse program, and it was necessary that it was should not end in a short-term program and it was should constantly cultivated long-term program as approach methods.
