한국 전통 소반의 퓨리즘 요소에 대한 연구 (A Study on Purism Elements of Korean Traditional Soban)

초록

Our traditional furniture, soban is one of the pieces of furniture that well shows that our past lifestyle was a sedentary culture. Our sentiments and lifestyles are intact, including what kind of daily life we lived in the past, such as our country's architectural style, food culture, and contact points between people. As they entered modern times, they accepted Western culture and artifacts, and their lifestyle also served as an opportunity to gradually change from sitting to standing. Accordingly, I would like to find the elements of Korean traditional soban from the point of view of Purism among the design history, which was the basis of modern industrial design minimalism, and organize them into research materials suitable for modernization. Purism is a formative movement in modern design history that pursued concise formative beauty by minimizing excessive decoration and exaggeration, and pursues minimalism design suitable for functionalism and mass production. Functions suitable for modern lifestyles, in line with modern interior design trends, and pursuing efficient designs with productivity considered during design are also suitable for modern design directions. Therefore, this study aims to investigate, understand, and classify Korean traditional soban, and to study the trend of Purism that can be found in traditional soban from the perspective of Purism in modern design history. From the perspective of the Purism trend, it can be seen that the traditional soban is a furniture that considers users in terms of concept and design. It was made to fit the body of a woman carrying a soban, and she ate, drank, or enjoyed tea on the soban. In addition, the simple and simple style found in Gangwonban was in line with the modern design trend pursuing minimalism. To reinterpret traditional soban in a modern way, it is not enough to simply make soban. Considering the users and planning the space, it is necessary to give the modern soban an appropriate role. The utilization of our soban, which was used in the Joseon Dynasty, is the same as Purism pursues.
The size, weight, usability, and design of the soban were determined and developed according to the structure of the hanok and how users use the soban. Modern Soban should also be reinterpreted and designed in consideration of modern space, lifestyle, users and usability.
