중학교 도덕 교과서의 양성평등교육 내용분석과 개선방안 연구 -2015 개정 중학교 도덕 교과서를 중심으로- (Study of content analysis and improvement plan on Education leading gender equality in middle school's moral textbooks -Focused on revised middle school moral textbooks of 2015-)

초록

본 연구는 도덕과의 양성평등교육 개선을 위해 2015 개정 중학교 도덕 교과서의 양성평등교육 내용을 분석하고 개선방안을 모색하는 것이 주요한 목적이다. 이를 위해 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 중학교 검‧인정 도덕 교과서 9종을 분석 하였다. 분석 결과 양성평등에 대한 이해와 필요성, 그리고 양성평등을 실천하기 위한 방향 제시에 있어서는 2015 개정 도덕과 교육과정 양성평등 단원의 목표와 성취기준에 따라 적절하게 기술된 것으로 판단되었다. 그러나 학교문화에서 양성평등이 필요한 이유에 대한 서술의 부재, 사례 제시의 양성 불균형, 성차별에 대한 학교사례의 부재, 그리고 학교문화 안에서의 양성평등과 관련된 사진 및 삽화의 부재에서는 한계점이 발견되었다.
이러한 분석을 토대로 연구자는 도덕과 양성평등교육의 개선방안으로 ① 학교에서 발생하는 고정된 성역할과 양성불평등 내용 확장의 필요, ② 성차별 사례 제시에 있어 남녀 차별 사례의 비슷한 구성 제시, ③ 양성평등에 대한 사진 및 삽화 제시에 있어 학교와 교실 문화에서 보여 지는 양성평등 사진‧삽화 추가를 제안하였다. 비록 본 연구가 2015 개정 중학교 도덕에 한정지어 양성평등의 교육 내용들을 분석한 연구이기에, 기존 도덕 교과서 또는 고등학교 교과서와 연계해서 살펴보지 못한 한계를 갖지만, 차후 ‘양성평등’단원을 구성하는데 내용 선정 측면과 내용 제시 방식 측면에서 참고할 수 있는 기초 연구로서의 의미를 가지며, 앞으로 더욱 많은 연구들이 진행되기를 기대한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of gender equality education in the revised moral textbook of middle school of 2015 and search for improvement plan in order to improve the gender equality education in moral subject. To do this, I analyzed nine kinds of middle school moral textbooks verified and authorized according to the 2015 revised curriculum. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that the understanding and necessity of gender equality and the direction to practice gender equality were adequately described according to the goals and achievement standards of the gender equality section of the moral education curriculum of 2015. However, the limitations were found in perspective of the lack of description of reasons for necessity of gender equality in school culture, the gender unfairness in the presentation of cases, the lack of school case for gender discrimination, and the absence of photographs and illustrations related to gender equality in school culture.
Based on these analyzes, the researcher has suggested the following things as a method to improve morality and gender equality education: ① the need to expand fixed gender role and positive inequality contents in schools, ② suggestion of similar composition of inequality cases as cases of sex discrimination, ③ addition of photos and illustrations about gender equality displayed in school and classroom culture, in suggestion of photos and illustrations of gender equality. As this study is an analysis of the contents of gender equality education limited to the revised moral textbook of middle school of 2015, it has limitations that they have not been examined in connection with existing moral textbooks or high school textbooks. In the future, however, it has the meaning of basic material that can be referenced in terms of contents selection aspect and contents presentation method in constituting ‘gender equality' section , and it is expected that more research will be done in the future.
