보편적 교수·학습설계가 장애학생의 교육적 통합에 주는 함의 (The perspective of universal design for instruction and learning influenced on educational inclusion of students with disabilities)

초록

이 연구는 장애학생의 교육적 통합을 촉진하기 위한 방법으로 최근 거론되고 있는 보편적교수·학습 설계의 전개 과정, 이론적 기반, 원리, 구현 방법을 내용분석 위주의 문헌분석 방법으로 사용하여 고찰한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 보편적 교수·학습 설계는 정상화의 철학적 이해를 기반으로 교육과정에 대한 학생의접근성을 강조하고 있었고, 이러한 철학적 기반으로 인해 장애학생의 물리적 통합에서 벗어나 교수·학습의 통합에 초점을 맞춘 교수․학습 설계이다. 둘째, 보편적 교수·학습 설계에서는장애학생의 특수성에 따른 도전과 지원을 공학을 통해서 균형 있게 조절할 수 있음을 알게되었다. 전통적 교육방법으로는 모든 장애학생의 특수한 교육적 요구를 해결할 수 없었으나, 교육과 공학이 결합된 보편적 교수·학습 설계는 장애학생의 특수성을 고려한 선택 옵션을 설정할 수 있으며, 교수·학습 설계 속에서 유연성을 유지할 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 셋째, 보편적 교수·학습 설계는 개인의 다양성을 인정하는 동시에 사회적 상호작용이 가능한활동으로 교육과정을 구성할 수 있으며, Vygotsky의 사회적 구성주의 이론과 뇌 영상과학연구 결과가 반영된다는 것을 알게 되었다. 넷째, 장애학생의 교육적 통합을 위해서 교사의책무성이 제기되고 있다. 제기되고 있는 책무성은 특수교사와 일반교사의 협력, 핵심적인내용으로 구성한 수업 계획, 공학의 사용이며, 이러한 책무성을 공고히 하기 위해서 PAL 절차에 따라 교수·학습 설계가 적용되어야 한다.
이러한 연구결과를 토대로 보편적 교수·학습 설계가 장애학생의 교육적 통합에 주는 함의를 제시하였다.

영어초록

This study is results of contents-centered literature review of design process,theoretic base, principle and practices of the universal design for instruction and learning recently being considered as a way to promote the educational inclusion of students with disabilities.
The results were followed: first, the universal design for instruction and learning is focused on an easy access to a curriculum on a philosophical basis of normalization. This philosophical interpretation shows the instruction-learning plan designed for educational inclusion from the physical integration of students with disabilities. Second, in the universal design for instruction and learning, the challenges and supports for students with disabilities can be controlled by educational technology. The needs with special education of all students with disabilities could not be resolved by traditional educational methods, but options considering specificities of students with disabilities can be selected in this universal design combined with education and technology and the flexibility in the instruction-learning plan can be found to maintain. Third, universal design for instruction and learning can be constructed by diverse activities of individuals and possible social interactions at the same time. It has been learned that the results of Vygotsky's Social Constructivist Theory and Brain imaging-technology research are reflected. Fourth, the educational responsibilities of teachers for educational inclusion is found to be raised. Raising responsibilities are configured as the cooperation of special education teachers and regular teachers, the core contents-lesson plans, and the use of technology. It has been found that to strengthen the responsibilities, instruction-learning plans should be designed according to PAL process.
Based on this result, the perspective of universal design for instruction and learning influenced on educational inclusion of students with disabilities is proposed.
