초록

본고는 1960년대 아동문학의 상업적 재편과 아동문학의 분화라는 측면에서 주목하였다. 한국아동문학사에서 1960년대는 본격 아동문학의 시대 혹은 아동문학의 번성기라고 할 정도로 양적인 면에서나 질적인 면에서 괄목할 만한 성과가 산출된 시기이다. 각종 아동 전문 일간지 창간과 다양한 형태의 잡지들이 간행되면서 아동문학 장(場)이 한층 풍성하고 새롭게 재편되었고, 그 결과 아동문학은 이전 시기에는 볼 수 없었던 새로운 활기를 갖게 된다. 이 과정에서 아동문학의 상업적 재편이 진행되는 것을 목격할 수 있는데, 특히 전집과 선집 발행을 통해 1960년대 아동문학장이 형성되고 전개되었다는 점은 중요한 의미를 갖는다.
1960년대 다종다수의 전집‧선집 발행은, 당대 아동문학과 그 장 형성에 일정정도 영향을 끼쳤다. 이는 다방면에서 진행된 독서운동과 독서교육이 아동 전집‧선집의 발행을 추동한 것이기도 하지만 아동문학가들이 다양한 작품으로 아동에게 접근한 것은 사실이다. 그것이 상업화라는 사회‧문화적 환경에 빚어진 것이라 하여도 아동문학(장)을 문학으로 접근하고 사회에 영향력을 미친 것은 부인할 수 없다. 그러나 편찬자와 친분이 있는 작가는 작품의 질과는 상관없이 수록되었고, 또한 문단의 권력가인 작가가 선집을 주로 하는 경우가 빈번하여 작품의 질을 담보할 수 없다. 아울러 전집과 선집에 편중된 단편 수록도 예의주시하게 된다. 단편은 다종다수의 작품 수록으로 인해 다채로운 작품을 많이 읽힐 수 있는 힘을 갖고 있지만, 다른 한편으로는 분량상 호흡이 긴 내용을 담기 힘들기 때문에 소재, 주제의 협소함 등은 부정적으로 여겨진다.

It was noted in the 1960s in terms of commercial reorganization and differentiation of children's literature. In the history of Korean children's literature, the 1960s was a period of remarkable achievements in terms of both quantity and quality. It is called such as the era of children's literature or the period of prosperity of children's literature. With the publication of various types of magazines, children's literature has become richer and redecorated; as a result, children's literature has become a new activity that has never been seen before. The commercial reorganization of children's literature can be witnessed in this process, especially in the 1960s, when the field of children's literature was formed and developed through the publication of complete works and selections.
In the 1960s, the publication of the complete collection and selection of various types of books had a certain effect on children's literature and its formation. While various reading campaigns and education combined the publication of complete works of children and selections, it is true that children's literature writers have approached children with various works. Even if it is a result of the social and cultural environment of commercialization, it can not be denied that it developed children's literature with established literature and influenced on their society. However, the author, who has an acquaintance with the editors, is often included regardless of the quality of the work, and can not guarantee the quality of the work because the author, who is the authority of the literary circle, often makes selections. In addition, short stories that are concentrated on the complete works and selections will be closely investigated. These short stories have the power to read a lot of various works due to the number of works, but on the other hand, they are not considered to contain long amounts of breathing, so they are considered to be limited in material and topic.
