가난한 자를 위한 예언자의 저항과 연대 ― 시편 14편을 중심으로 (Prophetic Resistance and Solidarity for the Poor — Focusing on Psalm 14)

초록

정치·사회·경제적 폐단으로 발생하는 빈곤과 가난한 자들을 위한 예언자들의 저항은 예언서뿐만 아니라 시편에서 또한 매우 강하게 각인되어 나타난다. 그러므로 본 연구는 특별히 시편 14편에 나타나는 가난의 원인과 상황, 그리고 가난을 야기한 사회적 구조의 폐단을 먼저 살피고, 여기서 사회 불균형을 초래하는 불의한 자들에 대한 예언자의 고발, 특히 가난한 자들을 위한 예언자의 탄원과 연대를 논의한다. 더 나아가 사회적 폐단으로 발생하는 빈곤 해결의 가능성을 진단하여 제시하고 있는 예언자의 연대의 의미와 그 신학적 의의를 파악하고자 한다.
시편 14편에서 예언자적 시인은 그가 속한 사회의 역사적인 정황을 폭로하고 탄원한다. 예언자적 시인이 폭로하는 상황은 그의 통찰력을 통해 사회 구조적 악으로 드러나며, 시편 14편의 중요한 주제로 작동한다. 예언자적 시인은 1-3절에서 백성을 파괴하는 자들의 음모와 패악을 “사람들을 떡 먹듯이 먹어 치우는” 행태로 고발한다. 이는 사회 불균형을 초래하는 불의한 자들의 가난한 자들과 대립을 폭로하고 사회적 상황에 저항하는 예언자의 연대를 의미한다.
예언자적 시인은 5절에서 두 종류의 삶, 의인과 악인들의 삶과 관련하여 야웨의 판결에 관한 교훈을 설파한다. 이후, 6-7절에서 시인은 ‘가난한 자’의 사회적 상황과 위치를 1-4절에 나타나는 사회적 현상과 연결하여 특징짓고 그 내용을 제시한다. 무엇보다도 예언자적 시인은 야웨께서 가난한 자가 속한 사회의 폐단을 돌이키고, 가난한 자의 계획을 회복시키시며 그의 피난처 되실 것을 선언한다(6절). 그는 가난의 원인과 상황, 특히 가난을 야기한 사회적 구조의 폐단을 수정할 수 있는 가능성과 당위성을 시온에서의 야웨의 구원하심으로 규정한다(7절).

영어초록

In Psalm 14, the prophetic poet exposes and pleads for the historical circumstances of his society. The situation he exposes unfolds as a result of the fool’s ‘denial of God’ and God’s efforts to find the righteous. These two elements exist in parallel lines that are difficult to meet, and this is revealed as social structural evil through the insight of the prophetic poet, and acts as an important theme of Psalm 14. Here in verses 1-3, the prophetic poet resists his historical situation by exposing it as a miserable loss of faith in God, apostasy, and the evils of social corruption. And the prophetic poet discusses in verse 4 the evils of the highest level of social evil that he exposes. This refers to the prophet’s spirituality of solidarity that resists the social situation of conflict between the poor and the unjust that causes social imbalance.
The structure inherent in the text found in verses 5-7 is special. The special images that are formed in verse 5, the two types of life, are the fear of God with the generation of the righteous and the fear of the wicked. The lesson of YHWH’s past judgments is a persuasive, living image that transcends time and at every point of view. This can be understood as a device of prophetic poetic resistance to the wickedness of the wicked, and through this, the prophetic requests the wicked’s self-awareness and urges them to turn around.
Afterwards, based on this, verses 6-7 reveal what the final concern of the prophetic poet of Psalm 14 is through the future tense. His interest is ‘the poor.’ The poet characterizes the social situation and position of the ‘poor’ by connecting it with the social phenomenon that appears in verses 1-4 and presents its contents. This signifies the prophetic poet’s solidarity with the poor and is an expression of the strong spirituality of the prophet who represents the poor.
Above all, the prophetic poet declares that YHWH will turn around the evils of the society where the poor belong and restore the plans of the poor (verse 6). He defines the cause and situation of poverty, especially the possibility and necessity of correcting the evils of the social structure that caused poverty, as YHWH’s salvation in Zion (verse 7).
