중국조선족과 재일코리안의 한류(Korean Wave) 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recognition about the Korean Wave of Korean Chinese and Korean Japanese)

초록

오늘날 한류는 아시아를 넘어 글로벌 문화의 위상을 확립해가면서 한국 문화의 전파 뿐만 아니라 국가 브랜드 가치의 제고와 제품의 이미지 향상에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 한류는 초문화화 현상으로써, 거주국에서 사회적 소수 혹은 주변인으로 살아가는 디아스포라에게 친숙한 모국의 문화와 소통할 수 있는 특별한 계기가 되고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구는 중국과 일본에 각각 거주하고 있는 조선족과 재일코리안이 한류를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 이 연구의 분석 자료는 중국 연길과 일본 도쿄에 거주하고 있는 조선족과 재일코리안을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사지 270부를 활용했다.
이 연구의 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국 연길에 거주하고 있는 조선족들의 한류에 관한 인식은 모국의 이미지 제고, 모국 제품의 구매 의향, 그리고 조선족의 자긍심 및 이미지 제고 등의 항목에서 긍정적인 답변을 보인 반면, 한․중간의 역사문제 이해와 조선족에 대한 차별 의식 약화 등의 항목에서는 부정적인 답변이 우세하게 나타났다. 둘째, 일본 도쿄에 거주하고 있는 재일코리안들의 한류에 관한 인식은 모국의 이미지 제고, 모국 방문 의향, 모국 제품 구매 의향, 재일코리안의 자긍심 및 이미지 제고 등의 항목에서 긍정적인 답변을 보인 반면, 한․일간의 역사문제 이해에서 부정적인 답변이 우세했다. 셋째, 중국조선족과 재일코리안 간의 한류 인식의 차이를 비교한 결과, 전체적으로 재일코리안들이 중국조선족보다 한류에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 전체 10개 항목에서 유의미한 차이를 보인 것은 모국에 대한 이미지 제고, 모국 사람에 대한 이미지 제고, 모국어 학습 의향, 모국 방문 의향, 모국 상품 구매 의향, 모국과 우호관계 강화, 조선족 및 재일코리안에 대한 차별 의식 약화, 조선족 및 재일코리안의 자긍심 제고, 조선족 및 재일코리안의 이미지 제고 등 9개 항목이었다. 반면, 역사문제 이해에 대해서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

Now a days, Korean wave shows establishment the phase in the global culture beyond of Asia that has significant impact on improving image of Korean culture as well as national brand value. Especially Korean wave as a phenomenon of transculturation has become a unique opportunity in communication and culture of home country for diaspora who are living as social minority or marginal group in abroad. This study analyzes how diaspora recognizing the Korean wave who live in China and Japan. The analyzing materials of this study is questionnaire survey conducted on Korean Chinese living in Yanji, China and Korean Japanese living in Tokyo, Japan.
The results of this study are as follows. First, the awareness of the image of home country improves through Korean wave among ethnic koreans in China, intent of purchasing home country product, and enhance self-esteem and image of ethnic Koreans in positive response to an item, whereas understanding the historical issues and awareness by the discrimination against ethnic Korean in the middle respectively dominant negative answer. Second, the awareness of the image of home country enhances through Korean wave among ethnic Korean living in Tokyo, Japan, willing to visit home country, intent of purchasing home country product, and enhance self-esteem and image of Koreans resident in Japan in positive response to an item whereas by the daily understanding of the historical issues were relatively dominant negative answer. Third, there are differences in comparison of recognition of Korean wave between Korean Chinese and Korean Japanese, overall Korean Japanese perceive respectively positive than Korean Chinese. Fourth, Total of 10 items that showed significant differences in image enhancement for homeland, enhance the image of home country people, intention of learning home country language, willing to visit home country, intent to purchase product of home country, strengthen friendly relation with their home country, weak awareness to against of discrimination of Korean Chinese and Korean Japanese, enhance self-esteem of Korean Chinese and Korean Japanese, enhance the image of Korean Chinese and Korean Japanese in 9 items respectively. On the other hand, the non-significant results were obtained respectively on understanding of historical issues between the two countries.
