초록

협상문화로서 유교적인 계층적 사회질서에서 파생되는 개인의 사회적 관계와 위신을 분석한다. 유교는 작은 사회의 질서를 중요시하는데 중국 역사에 그 이유가 있다. 춘추전국시대에 이합집산으로 인하여 사회적 규칙이 국가 규칙보다 많아지게 된다. 국가보다 내가 속한 작은 사회가 나를 지켜주었기 때문에 그렇다. 그래서 전쟁에서 이기고 지는 것보다 나와 가족이 속한 사회의 유지가 중요해진 것이다. 중국 역사에서 수많은 왕조의 교체가 있었지만 지방이 중앙통제보다 자치사회를 유지한 이유이기도 하다. 이런 현상을 심화시킨 또 다른 원인이 거론된다. 근대화 이전까지 중국을 지배하였던 만주족이 세운 청나라의 특성에 관한 것이다. 만주족은 인구 및 관료가 부족하여 지방을 효과적으로 통제할 수 없었기 때문에 지방자치는 국가의 통치이념이 되었고 이로 인하여 지역적인 작은 사회의 질서를 스스로 통제하는 힘을 가지게 된다. 이것은 특정 집단 속에서 나의 위치와 관계를 중요하게 만들었다. 특히 작은 사회의 질서를 유지하는 도덕적 거래로서 꽌시와 대내외적인 지위의 인정으로서 미엔즈가 두드러졌다. 이러한 특성은 화교의 문화와 협상스타일에 영향을 주었다. 간혹 상대방의 협상력이 클 경우에 문화가 표출되지 않지만 글로벌 비즈니스를 경험하는 화교기업가에게 문화는 상대적으로 나타난다. 장기적인 협상과정에서 꽌시와 미엔즈는 협상도구로서 담판을 좌우하며 상대방의 협상력을 통제 가능한 수준으로 만들어서 결론짓는 것이다. 협상과정은 협상력의 크기에 따른 보편적인 전략보다 꽌시와 미엔즈에 민감도가 존재한다.

This study analyzes the characteristics of individual social relations and prestige derived from hierarchical social order, which is the core of Confucian culture, in Chinese negotiation culture. Confucianism is important in the order of a small society, and the reason can be found in Chinese history. In the Warring States Period, splits and mergers resulted in more social rules than national rules. The individual has come to realize that my small society protects them. Thus, rather than winning and losing the war, it was more important to maintain a society where I and my family could belong. Although there have been numerous dynasty changes in Chinese history, the provinces are the reason for maintaining a more autonomous society than central control. There is another cause of this phenomenon. It is a characteristic of the Qing dynasty set up by the Manchus who ruled China before modernization. Since the Manchus did not have enough populations and bureaucrats to effectively control the provinces, local autonomy became the governing principle of the state. This gave him the power to control the order of small local societies, and his position and relationship within the group became increasingly important.
It emerged as a mianzi as a guanxi and a recognition of internal and external status as a moral deal that maintains the order of a small society. The culture and negotiating style of the Overseas Chinese who are developing a family-based network business have been influenced.




However, for Overseas Chinese entrepreneurs experiencing global business, culture may be relative rather than absolute. Sometimes, when the bargaining power of the negotiating partner is large, the culture is not expressed much. Nevertheless, guanxi and mianzi are the tools of negotiation for Overseas Chinese who think about the long-term negotiation process. In general, Chinese negotiations are long-term and reliable. Therefore, the bargaining power of the opponent can be made to be controlled.
Thus, the negotiation process of Overseas Chinese entrepreneurs takes priority over guanxi and mianzi over universal strategies based on the size of the bargaining power.
