잠재프로파일분석을 통한 부모의 양육행동 유형화와 아동의 학교적응 및 문제행동 비교 (Comparison of children’s school adaptation and problem behaviors in parenting behavior profiles identified by latent profile analysis(LPA))

초록

연구목적: 한국아동․청소년 패널데이터(2018)를 활용하여 초등학교 4학년 아동의 부모양육행동을 잠재프로파일 분석으로 집단분류하고, 분류된 집단에 따라 아동의 학교적응및 문제행동에 차이가 있는지 검증하고자 한다.
방법: 최종 분석대상은 2,523명이었으며, Mplus 7.11을 활용하여 잠재집단을 분류하고,집단별 학교적응 및 문제행동의 차이는 SPSS 25.0의 일원배치 분산분석과 Scheffe의 사후검증을 실시하였다.
결과: 첫째, 부모 양육행동의 잠재프로파일 수는 3개로 선정되었으며, 각 프로파일의 특성에 따라 ‘애정상위․통제하위 집단’, ‘애정․통제 중간집단’, ‘애정․통제 상위집단’으로 명명하였다. 둘째, 부모 양육행동의 잠재프로파일에 따라 아동의 학교적응 및 문제행동에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 ‘애정상위․통제하위 집단’의 아동들은 학교적응 수준도 높고, 문제행동도 낮은 것으로 나타나 적응적인 집단으로 확인되었다.
결론: 부모 양육행동의 잠재집단 특성에 따라 아동의 심리정서 발달이 달라질 수 있으므로, 아동의 발달을 위해 양육행동에 관한 개입 방안을 논의할 필요가 있다.

영어초록

Objectives: This study intends to categorize parenting behaviors in parents who have children in the fourth grade of elementary school into classes through latent profile analysis(LPA) using the Korean Children and Youth Panel Data(2018), and then to verify whether there is any difference between school adjustment and problem behaviors of children according to the categorized classes.
Methods: A total of 2,523 subjects were selected for final analysis and the subjects were classified into latent classes using Mplus 7.11. To identify the differences between school adjustment and problem behaviors for each class, SPSS 25.0 one-way ANOVA and Scheffe’s test were used.
Results: First, the number of latent profiles of parenting behaviors in parents was selected as three, and these profiles were named ‘class with a high level of affection and low level of control,’ ‘class with a moderate level of affection and control,’ and ‘class with a highlevel of affection and control’ depending on the respective profile characteristics. Second, it was revealed that there were differences between school adjustment and problem behaviors of children depending on the latent profiles of parenting behaviors in parents. Of these,children belonging to the ‘class with a high level of affection and low level of control’ were demonstrated to be a well adaptable group as they showed a high level of school adjustment and a low level of problem behaviors.
Conclusions: Considering that the types of parenting behaviors in parents may influence psychological and emotional development of children, it is necessary to discuss the intervention method for parenting behavior.
