초록

To realize a city where local residents can live safer through women-friendly city policies we try to figure out the effect of policy Implementation. After policy enforcement we analyzed whether the crime fear and crime rate of residents changed. As a method of analysis Difference-in-Difference method is used the time range of research is from 2008 to 2018, and the spatial range is 17 gu of Seoul. Independent variables consist of population characteristics physical environments, social environmental characteristics regions dummy, periods dummy, and did dummy variables. The analysis found that in models that set fear of crime as a dependent variable, fear of crime among local residents decreased by about 9.3% in women-friendly city policies. In models that set crime rates as dependent variables, the change in the crime rate in the region due to policy appears not to be shown. The positive effect which the crime fear is reduced by implementing the policy in the viewpoint of safety promotion was confirmed. If the awareness of the residents increases in the future the effect will be more than doubled.
