애착이론과 기질이론의 영유아보육현장 적용가능성 탐색 (Applicability of the Theories of Attachment and Temperament to Early-childhood Care and Education Facilities)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 애착이론과 기질이론을 보육현장에서 실제적으로 적용할 수 있도록 구체적인 방안들을 모색함으로써 영유아들이 보육시설에서 바람직하게 성장하고 발달할 수 있도록 올바른 지침을 마련하고자 하는데 있다. 연구방법은 문헌연구를 통하여 애착 및 기질에 관련된 이론과 연구들을 고찰하였고 이를 분석하여 보육현장에 적용하기 위한 실제적 방안들을 탐색하였다. 연구결과 영유아와 양육자와의 애착형성은 이 시기에 매우 중요하며 영유아의 기질에 따라 애착형성에 차이가 있으므로 보육현장의 교사는 영유아의 기질에 적합한 양육을 함으로써 애착 형성을 증진시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 보육교사는 영유아의 발달을 잘 이해하고 있어야 하고 영유아에게 관심과 애정을 갖고 그들의 신체적, 정서적 필요에 민감하게 반응을 해주며, 영유아와 신체적, 정서적인 접촉을 자주 해주어야 한다. 또한 보육현장에 근무하는 교사들은 영유아의 개인적 특성인 기질을 잘 파악하고 이해하여 기질적 특성에 따른 교사의 역할이 함께 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 영유아의 애착형성을 촉진하고 영유아의 기질에 적합한 보육을 하기 위해서는 보육교사의 자질 향상이 보육의 질을 높이는데 무엇보다 중요한 요인이 된다. 아울러 학부모와 교사들은 영유아의 기질과 애착에 따른 올바른 이해를 바탕으로 바람직한 양육을 위해 보육현장과 가정과 연계된 바람직한 부모교육 체계를 구축하는 것이 시급하다.

영어초록

The aim of this research is to provide a proper guide on desirable growth and development of infants in early-childhood care and education facilities, with specific methods to apply practically theories of attachment and temperament to the facilities. The research took the method of literary study on theories of attachment and temperament in order to draw up a practical scheme to apply to nursery facilities.
The outcome of the research is that the formation of attachment between infants and nurses is very important in the times of nursery and as there is deference in the formation of attachment according to the individual temperament of infant, teachers of the facilities are able to improve the formation of attachment with nursing infants in accordance with their temperament. Therefore, the conclusion of the research is as follows.
Firstly, teachers of early-childhood care and education facilities should have good understanding of the development of infants, respond sensitively to their physical and emotional needs with concern and affection, and maintain frequent physical and emotional contacts with their infants. Also the teachers working at the facilities should well grasp and understand individual temperance of infants and should set up their role according to their temperative character.
Secondary, In order to promote the formation of attachment of infants and suitable nursing in accordance with the temperance of infants, upgrading of the quality of teachers is one of the very important factors to improve the quality of early-childhood care and education. In addition, it is critical for desirable nursing to establish parent educational schemes corresponding facilities and home on the ground of correct understanding of attachment and temperance of infants.
