예비유아교사의 유․초 연계교육에 대한 인식 고찰: 교사효능감 수준에 따른 차이 분석 (A Study on the Pre-service Teachers‘ Perception of Continuity between Kindergarten and Elementary School: Analysis of Differences according to Level of Teacher Efficacy)

초록

본 연구는 유․초 연계교육에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식을 살펴보고 이러한 인식이 예비유아교사의 교사효능감 수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 유․초 연계교육에 대한 전반적인 인식을 살펴본 결과, 유․초등학교 간 역할동일성은 낮고, 유․초 연계교육 필요성은 높으며 연계교육이 필요한 이유로 아동의 심리적 부담을 덜어주기 위함을 가장 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 현재의 유․초 연계교육 운영에 대해 다소 부정적이며, 자신의 초등교육과정 이해 정도는 낮다고 인식하였다. 그러나 초등교육과정 이해 효과에 대한 인식이 높아, 유․초 연계 관련 교과목 개설 시, 수강 의사가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 유․초 연계교육을 위한 개선방안으로는 ‘수업 참관을 통한 상대 기관의 교육과정 운영 이해’를 가장 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 유․초 연계교육을 위한 유아교사 역할 인식은 전체적으로 높은 수준이며, 하위요인 별로 살펴보면 사회정서지원, 부모와의 협력, 기본생활습관지도, 교수계획, 학습능력향상 역할 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 교사효능감 수준에 따라 살펴본 결과, 유․초 연계교육의 필요성, 초등교육과정 이해 효과, 유․초 연계 교과목 수강 의사 및 교수계획을 제외한 유아교사의 모든 하위역할 인식에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 유․초 연계교육 운영을 위한 예비유아교사 교육 방안을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to discuss pre-service teachers‘ perception of continuity between kindergarten and elementary school and analyze if these perceptions differ significantly depending on the level of the pre-service teachers' teacher efficacy. The findings were as follows. First, pre-service teachers mostly believed that kindergarten and elementary schools have different roles, but kindergartens and elementary schools need to be continuous mostly to lessen children’s psychological burden. Also, they thought that linked education between kindergartens and elementary schools is currently not operated properly and they have little understanding of elementary school curriculums. But they thought that better understanding of elementary school curriculums would be positive for continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools and they were highly motivated to learn about the courses on continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools. For the improvement of continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools, they preferred observation of classes for better understanding of curriculums. Second, pre-service teachers‘ perception of the roles of early childhood teachers for continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools is high and the subfactor's level were appeared in order of social and emotional support, cooperation with parents, guides for basic daily habits, teaching plans, and improvement of learning abilities. Third, there were significant differences in terms of pre-service teachers’ perception of needs for continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools, the effectiveness of understanding Elementary School Curriculum, the desire to take courses on continuity, and overall level of perception of rolls of early childhood teachers for continuity between kindergartens and elementary schools. Based on the results of this study, pre-service teachers education plan was proposed for the operation of continuity education between the kindergarten and elementary schools.
