통합학급 구성원의 통합교육태도 관련 변인 간 관계 모형 개발 (Development of the relationship model among variables of Inclusive classroom members' attitudes towards inclusive education)

초록

본 연구는 통합학급에서 1년 동안 생활한 결과로서 나타난 통합학급 교사와 비장애학생의 통합교육 태도 관련 변인 간의 관계성을 확인해봄으로써 효율적 통합교육 추진을 위한 모형을 제시하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구와 경상도 지역에 위치한 초등학교 54개 학급을 선정하였으며, 연구대상은 통합학급교사 54명과 비장애학생 1,666명이었다.
연구 결과에 따르면 통합학급 교사의 통합교육 태도 및 하위 요인들과 상관이 있는 변인으로는 교직경력, 통합경력, 그리고 연수이수 정도이며, 장애학생의 장애정도와 학력수준 및 외적특성이 제시되었다. 그리고 비장애학생의 통합교육 태도 및 하위 요인들과 상관이 있는 변인은 장애학생의 장애정도, 학력수준 그리고 외적 특성이며, 비장애학생들의 간접 경험이 매우 유의미한 변인으로 제시되었다. 또한 통합학급 교사와 비장애학생의 통합교육 태도 간 관계성에서는 교사의 통합경력, 연수정도, 장애인식 및 지도 효능감이 유의미한 변수로 제시되었다.
이러한 연구 결과를 종합하여 보면, 교사의 연수시간은 장애인식 및 지도효능감에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 교사의 장애인식과 지도 효능감은 비장애학생의 장애학생에 대한 행동의도 및 접촉 빈도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 통합교육 경력도 비장애학생의 행동의도 및 접촉 빈도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 교사들의 연수를 강화하고, 통합학급 전문 교사 양성 제도 등의 도입이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 한편 비장애학생의 측면에서 보면 간접 경험이 매우 중요한 변인으로 제시되어 지속적인 장애이해교육 및 간접 경험의 기회 제공이 통합교육의 성공적 실행을 위한 중요한 방안으로 제시되었다.

영어초록

This study was attempted to suggest the model for successful inclusive education by analyzing variables of non-disabled students' and teachers' attitude based on the teaching experiences at an inclusive classroom. The subjects of this study were 1,666 non-disabled students and fifty four teachers in fifty four inclusive classrooms in Daegu and Gyeongsang-do.
According to the results, the factors of teaching experience at general classrooms and inclusive classrooms, teacher training were related with teachers' attitudes in inclusive environments and sub-factors, also the types and level of disability, academic achievement and external characteristics of students with disabilities were presented. In addition, the types and level of disability, academic achievement and external characteristics of students with disabilities also had relation to non-disabled students' attitude towards inclusive education and sub-factors, and it was found that non-disabled students' indirect experiences was a significant variable. In the relationship between teachers and non-disabled students' attitude in inclusive settings, teaching experience in inclusive classrooms, teacher training, understanding about disabilities and teacher's efficacy were critical.
In conclusion, the period of teacher education had an effect on understanding about disability and teacher efficacy. Additionally, the recognition of disability and their efficacy had influence on non-disabled students' behavioral intention and contact frequencies.
As the experience in inclusive environments had positive influences on non-disabled students' behavioral intention and contact frequencies, it was necessary for teachers to be provided intensive teacher education programs and training systems for teachers at inclusive education environments. For successful inclusive education to provide non-disabled students with opportunities for education of understanding disability and indirect experience was remarkably necessary, since indirect experience was important to non-disabled students.
