교육대학원 음악교육전공 석사논문의 주제유형 분류조사 (A Study on Research Trends by Categorizing Thematic Types in Master's Dissertations in Music Education at Graduate Schools of Education)

초록

본 연구는 교육대학원 음악교육전공 석사학위 논문을 대상으로 연구주제의 유형별 분류조사를 실시함으로써 현 예비음악교사들의 연구주제 선호도 및 연구 동향을 살펴보고 음악교육연구의 질적 개선에 도움을 주기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 2011년부터 2015년까지의 최근 5년간 수도권 14개 교육대학원의 음악교육전공 석사학위논문 1104여 편의 주제를 유형별로 분류 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1.‘교육대학원 음악교육’의 주제어로 검색, 수집된 논문편수는 동일 기간 전국 교육대학원 논문편수의 약 50.8%에 해당하며 수도권 지역을 중심으로 소폭의 증가 추세가 나타난 것으로 조사되었다. 2.총 9개로 개발된 분류 항목체계에 의해 주제유형을 분류한 결과 교수-학습 모형인 ‘지도안, 지도방안 작성’ 관련 주제유형이 약 41.5%, 국악 관련이 약 14.4%, 현장조사 방식인 ‘영향, 효과, 상관 및 실험사례’ 관련 주제유형이 약 13.9%의 빈도수 상위3개 항목으로 조사되었다. 3.‘지도안, 지도방안’ 유형의 세부항목별 재분류 결과 ‘연주법 및 연주지도’와 ‘감상’ 관련 주제가 약 59.2%로 조사되어 빈도수 1위를 나타내었고 ‘국악’에서는 ‘지도안, 지도방안 작성’ 관련 주제가 67.3%, ‘영향, 효과, 상관 및 실험사례’ 주제유형에서는 ‘음악치료 교육’ 관련이 32.0%로 각각 가장 많은 빈도수를 지니는 세부항목으로 조사되었다. 다양한 주제 개발을 통해 연구를 활성화시키고 나아가 음악교육 분야의 발전을 도모하기 위하여 교수, 학생 양측의 지속적인 관심과 노력이 필요하며 본 연구의 결과가 음악교육 분야의 학문적인 발전을 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 바란다.

영어초록

The purpose of the present study is to help qualitatively improve the research of music education and to examine the preferences of research themes and research trends of current pre-service music teachers by categorizing the types of research themes in master’s degree dissertations of music education majors in graduate schools of education. The results of categorizing 1,104 master’s dissertations by music education majors in 14 different graduate schools of education in the metropolitan area for the past five years between 2011 and 2015, by their thematic types are as follows. 1. The number of dissertations searched and collected with the keyword ‘music education in a graduate school of education’ accounted for about 50.8% of national graduate school of education dissertations during the same period, and it appeared that a slight increase was observed centering on the metropolitan area. 2. The results categorizing thematic types according to a 9 category system revealed that about 41.% were related to the teaching-learning model of ‘guidance plane, guidance plan composition’, about 14.4% were related to Korean traditional music, and about 13.9% were related to field inquiry methods of ‘influence, effect, correlation, and experimental cases’, and these three took up the upper three items in terms of frequency. 3. Subcategories of the ‘guidance plan, and guidance plan composition’ type revealed that about 59.2% were related to ‘performance method and performance instruction’ and ‘appreciation’, the themes of which had the highest rate of frequency. In ‘Korean traditional music’, the ‘guidance plan and guidance plan composition’ type accounted for 67.3% of themes, while in the thematic type of ‘influence, effect, correlation, and experimental cases’, themes related to “music therapy education’ accounted for 32.0%, and these were the themes that accounted for the highest frequency in the subcategories. In order to invigorate research through the development of various research themes, and furthermore, to develop the field of music education, both professors and students must take interest and put forth the effort. The researcher hopes that the results of the present study are used as basic data for the academic development of the music education field.
