유치원·어린이집 교사 권익관련 법인식 실태 연구 (Study on Kindergarten and Day Care Center Teachers’ Understandings of Laws Regarding Rights)

초록

본 연구는 유치원과 어린이집 교사의 권익관련 법인식 현황과 설립유형별 법인식에 차이가 있는지 실태를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 유치원 교사 601명, 어린이집 교사 906명으로 총 1,507명이었으며 SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 백분율, 일원변량분석, Scheffe 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 공립 유치원 교사들이 사립 유치원 교사나 어린이집 교사에 비해 법에 보장된 교사의 권익에 대한 사항들을 더 많이 알고 있었다. 둘째, 공립 유치원 교사가 사립 유치원 교사보다 5개 권리 영역 모두에서 권익 관련 법조항을 더 잘 알고 있었으며 어린이집 교사는 전문직으로서의 교육권 및 자율권, 근무여건 개선 및 생활보장 요구권, 복지후생제도 요구권에서만 설립유형별 차이를 보여 민간과 가정 어린이집 교사가 직장이나 국공립 어린이집 교사보다 권익 관련 사항을 잘 모르고 있었다. 따라서 유치원·어린이집 교사의 권익을 증진시키기 위해서는 사회적 인식 제고뿐만 아니라 교사들 스스로 법에 보장된 교사 권익에 대한 법인식을 높이는 것이 필요하다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether or not there is a difference between kindergarten and day-care center teachers in terms of understanding of the laws regarding rights, as well as whether or not there are difference in understandings of the laws depending on establishment type. The subjects in the study were 601 kindergarten teachers and 906 day-care teachers, for a total of 1,507 teachers. Using the data, percentages calculations, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe post-tests were performed using SPSS 21.0. As a result of the study, first, public-kindergarten teachers were found to be more knowledgeable about the rights of teachers guaranteed by the law, compared to private-kindergarten teachers or day-care teachers. Second, the public-kindergarten teachers were more knowledgeable than the private kindergarten teachers about the laws related to rights in all 5 rights-related areas. The teachers of private and family day-care centers were shown to be less knowledgeable than the public-kindergarten teachers as indicated by the differences according to establishment type shown only in the areas of rights to education and professional autonomy and improvement of working conditions and guarantee of benefits. The private and day-care center teachers were less knowledgeable about the rights than the teachers at workplace or public day-care centers. Therefore, in order to promote interest in kindergarten and day-care teachers, it is necessary not only to raise social awareness but also to raise teachers’ understanding itself about the rights of teachers guaranteed by the law.
