20대 중국인의 한류 관련 반응 고찰: 국가관 및 새로움 수용도의 영향을 중심으로 (An Investigation of on Korean-Wave Related Responses of People in Their 20s in China with a Focus on Their Views of the Country and Acceptances of Newness)

본 연구는 중국 20대를 대상으로 그들의 국가관(중화사상, 애국심) 및 새로움 수용도가 한류 관련 반응에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고 있다. 여기서 한류 관련 반응이란 직접반응에 해당하는 한류 선호도, 간접반응에 해당하는 한국 선호도, 한류 파생상품 선호도, 한국상품 구매의도를 의미한다. 자료 수집을 위해 본 연구는 중국 북경 및 상해에서 일대일 면접조사를 실시하였다. 표본은 20대 중국인 250명으로 구성되어 있으며, 남녀비율은 근사적으로 4:6, 평균 나이는 24.5세였다. 표본의 직업은 학생이 많았으며, 그 비율은 근사적으로 60%를 차지하였다. 연구결과 중화사상 및 애국심의 경우 부정적인 영향이 부분적으로 나타났음에 비해, 새로움 수용도의 경우 긍정적인 영향이 일관적으로 모든 반응에서 나타났다. 반응별로 살펴본 영향력의 상대적 비교에서도 새로움 수용도의 영향력이 일관되게 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 중화사상의 영향은 한국 관련성이 높은 대상에서 분명하게 나타난 반면 애국심 및 새로움 수용도의 영향은 각각 한국 관련성이 높은 대상이나 새로움 정도가 높은 대상에서 더욱 분명하게 나타나지 않았다.

영어초록

The focus of this manuscript is to examine effects of views of the country(Sinocentrism, patriotism) and acceptance of newness on Korean-wave related responses with the sample in their 20s in China. The responses consist of direct and indirect ones. The direct response includes Korean-wave preference and other preferences and purchase intentions for Korean products are considered as indirect ones. Concretely, we try to confirm the main effect of each on Korean-wave related responses and the moderating roles of the degree of Korea-relatedness and the degree of newness. Also, the magnitude of the main effects of Sinocentrism, patriotism and acceptance of newness is compared.
For data collection, in-person surveys were conducted in Beijing and Shanghai in China. The sample consisted of 260 Chinese people in their 20s. The male to female ratio is approximately 4:6, with an average age of 24.5. The dominant job positions for the sample were student. The proportion of that in the sample occupied an approximate 60%. Before the survey, we informed the sample that the purpose was to investigate Chinese responses to Korea. After the survey, a small fee for participating was given to them Results showed that each of views of the country(Sinocentrism and patriotism) had a negative effect on some responses while the acceptances of newness had a positive effect on all responses. Comparing the relative strength of the effects across views of the country and the acceptances of newness on each of responses, the study found that the acceptances of newness had a stronger effect than others on each of all responses. It was also found that the degree of Korea-relatedness had a moderating effect only between Sinocentrism and purchase intentions for Korean products.
