세종시 공공자전거 ‘어울링’의 이용행태와 대중교통 연계성에 대한 공간회귀분석 (Spatial Regression Analysis on Usage Patterns and Public Transportation Connectivity of the Public Bicycle ‘Eoulling’)

초록

Public bicycles are known to enhance accessibility to public transportation and promote its use. In Sejong City, the public bicycle system ‘Eoulling’ was introduced with this goal in mind. A review of annual modal shares revealed that following the launch of Eoulling, bicycle usage increased, while bus usage declined.
This study aimed to investigate this phenomenon by analyzing the usage patterns of Eoulling through spatial regression analysis. Voronoi diagrams were used to set the space for each rental station, and data on land use and bus usage were utilized to analyze the purpose of Eoulling use and its connection with public transportation. The analysis was conducted separately for weekdays, weekends, and the entire period.
The results indicate that on weekdays, the presence of commercial facilities and bus usage significantly and positively affect Eoulling usage. This suggests that Eoulling is utilized for visiting commercial areas and serves as a First mile/Last mile mobility during weekdays. On the other hand, on weekends, a significant positive relationship with theme parks was observed, indicating that Eoulling is used for leisure purposes. Based on these findings, policy supplements are proposed to strengthen the integration of Eoulling with public transportation.
