국내외 해양 기름유출 연구 비교: 심층 문헌조사를 통한 장기 경향 분석 (Comparison of Korea and World Marine Oil Spill Studies: Long-term Trend Analysis Through in-depth Literature Review)

초록

2010년 미국 멕시코만에서 발생한 딥워터 호라이즌 사고 이후 세계적으로 기름유출 연구 경향이 급변하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 지금까지 발표된 국내외 기름유출 관련 논문을 토대로 기름유출 연구 경향을 비교하였다. 분석 결과 전체 논문 수는 시간 흐름에 따라 국내외 모두 증가하였으나, 2014년부터 국내 논문은 감소 추세를 보였다. 국외의 경우 학문분야별로는 일정 패턴을 유지하였으나, 국내는 시간 변화에 따라 학문 비중이 변하였다. 국내외 모두 주요 유출사고에 따라 연구지역 비중이 급변하였지만, 유출량이 연구량을 대변하진 않았고, 상대적으로 적게 연구된 지역이 있었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 국내외 기름유출 연구 갭(gap)을 분석한 결과, 앞으로 우리나라에서는 1) 발생 빈도가 높고 소규모인 기름유출 및 동해 지역 연구, 2) 기름유출에 따른 지역주민과 방제작업자의 건강 영향 연구, 3) 우리나라 해양 및 연안 환경과 생태계에 미치는 기름유출 영향 연구가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

Since the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico n 2010, the oil spill research trends of the world is rapidly changing. Therefore, this study compares the tendency of oil spill research based on the articles published so far on domestic and foreign countries oil spill. The total number of papers analyzing the results was increased both at home and abroad over time, the domestic paper showed a decline in 2014. Whereas foreign academic papers maintain a certain pattern, In Korea, the proportion of studies has changed with time. In both domestic and foreign countries, the proportion of the study area changed drastically due to major spill incidents, but the volume of spilled oil did not represent the research amount and there were relatively less studied areas. Based on the results of the study, we have analyzed the gap between domestic and overseas oil spill researches and found that 1) research on frequent and small oil spills and East Sea area, 2) research on the health impact of local residents and oil spill clean-up workers due to oil spill, And 3) research on the impact of oil spill on marine and coastal environment and ecosystem in Korea are needed.Since the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, the oil spill research trends of the world is rapidly changing.
