『조선옛이야기그림책』의 체계와 구성 양상 연구 (A Study on the System and Structure of Chosun Old Story Picture Book)

초록

이 논문은 2013년부터 2014년까지 북한에서 발간된 『조선옛이야기그림책』의 체계와 구성 양상을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 김정일은 고전문학 출판을 장려했는데 이는 ‘고전문학 유산이 갖고 있는 인식교양적의의’를 통해 아동과 청소년들을 공산주의 혁명적 인재로 키우고자 하는 욕망이 있었기 때문이다. 고전문학 유산 가운데 인민의 생활상을 잘 반영하고 있는 ‘옛이야기’는 북한의 주체문예이론을 실현시키기에 적합하여 지속적으로 출판되었다. 아동독자를 위해서 옛이야기는 그림과 만나서 새로운 형태로 재생산되었다. 이에 『조선옛이야기그림책』의 체계와 구성 양상을 통해서 북한의 체제 유지 방향과 아동문학의 기호를 반영한 노력들을 확인하고자 하였다.
『조선옛이야기그림책』은 1권부터 40권까지는 당대의 여러 글 작가와 그림 작가들이 서로 교차하여 책을 집필하였다. 이후 41권부터 60권까지는 한 명의 글 작가와 그림 작가가 집중적으로 책을 출판하였다. 후반부에 나온 20권의 책 속에는 동물담과 응보담이 주류를 이루고 있다. 전체적으로도 동물담과 응보담이 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는데 이는 아동의 기호와 흥미를 고려한 선택이면서 동시에 지혜담보다 응보담을 선택하여 선악에 대한 처벌과 보상이라는 보다 확고한 사상체계를 심어주기 위한 것으로 보인다. 또한, 아동들에게 권하는 근면하고 성실하라는 당부와 게으름과 과욕에 대한 경계는 한 개인의 문제를 넘어서 모든 이웃, 모든 인간에게 확대되어 혼자만 잘 살고 잘 먹는 것이 아니라 함께 잘 사는 문제로 확장되고 있다. 이 또한, 북한에서 추구하는 모든 인민의 부와 행복에 대한 이상적 실현을 강요하는 대목이다.
옛이야기책이 그림과 만나 재탄생되는 것은 북한에서도 아동 독자의 기호와 흥미를 반영한 결과이다. 그림에 있어서 사실성을 강화하기 위해서 사진처럼 정교화된 그림으로 현실성을 강조하고 과장과 대조를 통해 인물의 성격을 강화시키고, 원근법을 통한 다양한 시선을 포착하고 역동적 표현으로 긴장감과 생동감으로 아동의 흥미를 끌고 있다. 북한의 체제를 유지하고 아동 독자의 흥미를 반영하는 과정이 『조선옛이야기그림책』의 이야기와 그림을 통해서 구현되고 있다.

영어초록

Chosun Old Story Picture Book was published in 60 volumes from 2013 to 2014. The whole picture or publication of this book is somewhat unknown. In the context of other books published so far, this book is also likely to be published in the future. At first, I briefly summarized the system and composition of 60 books, and studied the characteristics of old stories and paintings.
Kim Jong Il encouraged the publication of classical literature because there was a desire to bring children and youths into communist revolutionary talent through the ‘cognitive educationalism’ of classical literary heritage. The ‘Old Story’, which reflects the lives of the people in the classical literary heritage, has been consistently published in order to realize the North Korean subject theory of literature. For the child reader, the old story was reproduced in new form by meeting the picture. Therefore, we tried to identify efforts to reflect the direction of North Korea’s system maintenance and children' s literature through the system and composition of Chosun Old Story Picture Book.
From the first volume to the 40th volume, the writer and the painting artists of the contemporary period crossed each other and wrote a book. From the 41st to the 60th books, one writer and a photograph. Among the 20 books that appeared in the second half, stories about animals and stories about a story of good and evil are main-streaming. Overall, animal stories and stories of good and evil take up a great deal of weight. However, at the same time as the selection of the children in consideration of the symbol and the interest of the child, the story of good and evil is chosen rather than the story of wisdom It is believed that the idea of planting a better thought system, such as punishment and compensation for good and evil.
In addition, the boundaries between encouraging children to be diligent and sincere, calling, laziness, and greed are beyond the problems of individuals and are extended to all neighbors, all human beings. It has been extended to the problem of livelihood. It is also a part of the ideal of realization for the wealth and happiness of all the people who seek North Korea. It is the result that reflects the symbol and interest of the child readers in North Korea. In the figure, in order to enhance the reality, it is emphasized the reality in the image which is elaborated like the photograph, and it is used in comparison with the exaggeration to strengthen the character of the person, The children are interested in dynamics and emotions in their dynamical expressions. The process of maintaining the system of North Korea and reflecting the interest of children readers has been implemented through stories and paintings of Chosun Old Story Picture Book.
