전남 도서지역과 해안지역의 부사형어미 ‘-아/어’의 교체 (A Study on Alternation of ending ‘a/ə’ in stems, in the Dialect of Jeonnam insular and coastal areas)

초록

전남 도서지역과 해안지역의 부사형어미 ‘-아/어’의 실현양상을 밝히기 위해 어간말음절이 모음으로 끝나는 경우와 어간말음절이 자음으로 끝나는 경우로 나누어 살폈다.
전남 도서지역이나 해안지역에서 어간말음절이 모음으로 끝나는 경우에 양성모음이나 ‘이’모음의 1음절과 2음절 이상의 어간이나 음성모음의 1음절 어간은 모음조화가 잘 지켜지고 있다. 그러나 음성모음의 2음절 이상의 어간에서는 ‘오으’형이나 ‘우으’형은 모음조화가 잘 지켜지나 ‘바쁘-’어간은 부사형어미가 음성모음화되고 있다. ‘르’불규칙 용언의 경우에는 1음절 모음에 따라 부사형어미가 결정된다. 어간말음절이 자음으로 끝나는 경우에 양성모음일 때는 1음절 ‘아’형은 부사형어미가 음성모음화된 경우가 많으나 1음절 ‘오’형과 ㅂ-불규칙은 모음조화가 잘 지켜지고 있다. 2음절 이상 불규칙 용언에서도 모음조화가 지켜지고 있으나 ‘외롭-’어간은 신안 임자와 전남 남쪽지역에서 부사형어미가 ‘-어’로 실현되고 있다. 음성모음의 경우 1음절 어간에서는 ‘어, 우, 으’형이나 ㄷ·ㅂ-불규칙에서 모음조화가 잘 지켜지고 있으나 ‘춥-’어간의 경우에는 진도와 완도지역에서 부사형어미가 ‘-어’로 실현되고 있다. 2음절 이상 ㅂ-불규칙 용언에서 모음조화가 대부분 잘 지켜지고 있고 ‘이’모음의 1음절 어간도 모음조화가 잘 지켜지고 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to explain the alternation of ending ‘a/ə’ in stems, from the data of the insular and coastal areas of Jeollanam-do. This study can be divided into two groups. One is the case of stem-syllable which is ended in vowels, and the other is the case of stem-syllable which is ended in consonants.
In the insular and coastal areas, in the case of stem-syllable ended in vowels, a positive vowel, a ‘이’ vowel of one-syllable and more than two-syllables, and a negative vowel of one-syllable are alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem. In the negative vowel of more than two-syllables, a type of ‘오으’ and a type of ‘우으’ are alternated regularly according to the first vowel of a stem. However, in the stem of ‘바쁘-’, ending ‘a/ə’ shows negative vowelization. ‘르’ irregular verbs are alternated regularly according to the vowel of one-syllable.
When stem-syllables have positive vowel and are ended in consonants, in the type of ‘아’ of one-syllable, ending ‘a/ə’ shows negative vowelization. However, a type of ‘오’ of one-syllable and ‘ㅂ’ irregular verbs are alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem. and the irregular verbs of more than two-syllables are alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem. But in the stem of ‘외롭-’, ending ‘ə’ is realized in Imja, shinan-gun and the southen parts of Jeollanam-do. In the negative vowel of one-syllable, a type of ‘어, 우, 으’ and ‘ㄷ․ㅂ’ irregular verbs are alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem. But in the stem of ‘춥-’, ending ‘ə’ is realized in Haenam and Wando. In the ‘ㅂ’ irregular verb of more than two-syllables is mainly alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem. And the stem of one-syllable ended in ‘이’ is alternated regularly according to the vowel of a stem.
