초등학교 여교사의 중등체육 입문기 (Introduction to secondary physical education of a female elementary school teacher)

초록

본 연구는 초등학교에서 16년간 근무한 여교사가 파견교원을 기회로 국립종합 4년제 대학 일반대학원 체육학과 석사과정에 입학하면서 느끼게 된 경험을 내러티브적인 관점에서 살펴보고, 중등체육교육과정으로 입문하게 된 계기, 과정 중과 과정 후의 변화를 알아보며, 이러한 경험을 통한 연구 참여자의 여러 가지 변화가 교육적 의미의 가치가있는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2021년 3월 2일부터 2022년 5월 31일까지를 연구기간으로 정하였다.
1년 2개월여의 기간 동안 연구자와 연구 참여자는 동 연구실에서 연구하였고, 이 기간 중 정기적인 심층 면담 14 회와 여러 차례의 수시 면담, 일상 대화 및 관찰 등을 기록하였으며, 간접참여방법으로 수업 참여, 연구 활동, 세미나 참석 등을 기록하고 분석하였다. 이를 통해 수집된 자료들은 Connelly와 Clandinin의 전통적인 내러티브적 관점으로 조명되었으며, 귀납적인 분석의 과정을 거쳐 경험적 지식을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과 국립종합 4년제대학 일반대학원 체육학과 석사과정에 진학하게 된 계기와 준비 등을 담은 ‘체육에 대한 호기심’, 대학원 수업 및세미나, 연구실 생활 및 연구 활동 등을 통해 체육수업에 조금씩 눈을 뜨는 ‘체육수업을 위한 준비’, 전공분야로서의 체육을 알아가며 자신의 삶과 교육적 가치의 변화를 느끼는 ‘나도 이제 체육인’으로 주제화 되었다. 이러한 과정을 내러티브 3차원적 탐구공간의 관점에서 찾아 본 의미는 시간적인 맥락과 주변인과의 관계 등으로 살펴볼 수 있는 사회적인 측면, 전문적인 체육에 대한 관심을 가지게 된 환경적인 측면으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과로 현재 초등학교 현장에 대다수를 차지하고 있는 여교사의 체육 수업에 대한 인식 개선과 체육 수업 정상화를 위한 실질적인 방안을 고민해 볼 수 있는 자료로서 의미가 있다.

영어초록

This study examines the experience of a female teacher who worked at an elementary school for 16 years when she entered the master's course in the Department of Physical Education at a general graduate school of a national comprehensive 4-year university with the opportunity of being a dispatched teacher, from a narrative point of view. The purpose of this study is to find out the changes during and after the process, and to find out whether the various changes of the research participants through these experiences are worth the educational meaning. To this end, the study period was set from March 2, 2021 to May 31, 2022. For a period of about 1 year and 2 months, the researcher and research participants studied in the same laboratory, and during this period, 14 regular in-depth interviews, several occasional interviews, daily conversations and observations were recorded. , research activities, seminar attendance, etc. were recorded and analyzed. The data collected through this were illuminated from the traditional narrative perspective of Connelly and Clandinin, and empirical knowledge was intended to be derived through the process of inductive analysis. Research results 'Curiosity about physical education', which contains the opportunity and preparation for entering the master's course in the Department of Physical Education of the General Graduate School of a national comprehensive 4-year university, gradually awakening to physical education classes through graduate classes and seminars, laboratory life and research activities 'Preparation for physical education class' and 'I am also an athlete now' were the subjects of learning about physical education as a major field and feeling changes in one's life and educational value. The meaning of this process from the perspective of the narrative three-dimensional space of exploration can be divided into the social aspect, which can be examined in terms of time context and relationships with people around them, and the environmental aspect, in which people are interested in professional sports. As a result of this study, it is meaningful as a material for considering practical measures to improve the perception of physical education classes of female teachers, who occupy the majority of elementary school sites, and to normalize physical education classes.
