초록

본 연구는 디지털 기술의 도입으로 기존 물류기업에 미치는 영향을 비즈니스 모델 관점에서 분석하고기존 물류기업의 미래 비즈니스 대응 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문헌연구와 물류 업무에디지털 기술이 적용된 사례를 조사하여 비즈니스 모델 구성 요소를 기준으로 분석한 후 물류기업에 미치는영향을 정리하였다. 가치 제안 관점에서 스타트업과 일부 화주들은 물류업무에 디지털 기술(플랫폼) 도입으로새로운 서비스 제공과 즉시 대응, 가격 투명성, 사용 편리성으로 차별화 전략을 사용하고 있었다. 가치 창출을위한 활동으로 플랫품 중심 연계와 운영으로 가치 포착 관점에서 차량, 창고와 같은 유형 자산을 보유하지않아 원가 구조를 낮출 수 있었다. 가치 전달 관점에서는 기존 물류기업과 달리 플랫폼 중심 디지털 소통으로대중 고객에게 표준화된 서비스를 제공하고 있었다. 이와 같은 분석 결과는 물류기업에 3가지 시사점을제시하였다. 첫째, 디지털 기술이 지역 배송과 운송 업무에 가장 많이 적용되고 있고 물류 기업보다는 타산업 기업(화주 및 스타트업)이 주도하고 있었다. 둘째, 기존 물류기업 고유 업무인 물류 관리 업무도 플랫폼업체 영역으로 대체하고 있었고 셋째, 물류 부가가치 영역은 아직은 디지털 기술의 영향이 적었고 물류산업경쟁력 유지가 필요하였다. 결론으로 물류기업의 고객 경험 확보를 위한 디지털 기술 도입, 수평적 협력을위한 플랫폼 기술 적용, 클라우드 환경의 맞춤형 물류서비스 모델 구축의 대응 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는디지털 기술 적용사례가 초기 진행단계로 탐색적 분석에 기반 하였기에 실증적인 분석과 지속적인 연구가필요할 것이다.

영어초록

Research Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the introduction of digital technology on the existing logistics industry from a business model point of view and to suggest a future business response plan for existing logistics companies.
Research Methods: To this end, literature research and cases where digital technology was applied to logistics were investigated, analyzed based on business model components, and the impact on logistics companies was summarized.
Results in Research: (value proposition) startups and some shippers were using a differentiation strategy by introducing digital technology and platform to their logistics business, providing new services, prompt response, price transparency, and ease of use. (value creation) by not holding tangible assets such as vehicles and warehouses and through platform-centric linkage and operation. (value delivery) it was providing standardized services to mass customers through platform-oriented digital communication. (value capture) the cost structure could be lowered.
Research Conclusion: First, digital technology is most often applied to local delivery and transportation, and other industrial companies (shippers and startups) are leading rather than logistics companies. Second, the logistics management task, which is a unique task of existing logistics companies, was also being replaced by the platform business area. Third, the added value of logistics was still not affected by digital technology, and it was necessary to maintain the competitiveness of the logistics industry.
Suggestions in Research: The introduction of digital technology for customer experience of logistics companies, application of platform technology for horizontal cooperation, and the establishment of a customized logistics service model in the cloud environment were presented. Since this study is based on exploratory analysis as the digital technology application case is an early stage, empirical analysis and continuous research will be needed.
